MYANMAR EARTHQUAKE MEMORIAL PARK
A Memorial Master Plan by PTB Japan
In response to the devastating 7.2-magnitude Myanmar Earthquake of 2025, PTB Japan has developed a conceptual Myanmar Earthquake Memorial Park — a place dedicated to remembering those who lost their lives, honoring the strength of survivors, and preserving the memory of a defining moment in Myanmar's history.
This is more than a park.
It is envisioned as a place of remembrance, reflection, education, healing, and hope.

A peaceful landscape where the lives and stories of those affected can be remembered with dignity.
🕊️ REMEMBRANCE
A meaningful memorial environment for families, communities, and future generations to come together.
🌊 REFLECTION
Water, landscape, pathways, and open spaces create a calm environment for contemplation and healing.
🏛️ EDUCATION
A dedicated space to preserve the history of the earthquake and promote awareness of disaster preparedness and resilience.
🌱 RESILIENCE
The park symbolizes Myanmar's ability to recover, rebuild, and move forward together.
DESIGNING MEMORY INTO THE LANDSCAPE
PTB Japan's concept brings together nature, architecture, water, movement, and public space to create a memorial landscape that is both emotionally meaningful and environmentally sensitive.
The design is guided by a simple idea:
Remember the past.
Honor the lives.
Learn from the experience.
Build a stronger future.
We believe architecture should not only create buildings — it should create places that carry memories and connect generations.
Through this concept, PTB Japan hopes to contribute to a future Myanmar where remembrance becomes a source of strength, resilience, and hope.
