A cosy corner designed for slowing down. 🤎

For this project, I combined deep blue bespoke cabinetry, warm leather, soft textiles and natural textures to create a reading corner that feels both sophisticated and inviting.

The integrated lighting brings warmth to the darker cabinetry, while the patterned rug and woven textures soften the overall look and make the space feel more relaxed and lived-in.

A great example of how thoughtful interior design can transform an unused corner into a beautiful and functional part of the home.

This week, I wanted to focus a little more on projects and design studies I’ve worked on and share some of the spaces behind my work. 🤍

Starting with this elegant dining area — a combination of warm wood, soft textures, statement marble and subtle fluted panelling, brought together by a beautiful sculptural pendant. ✨

The aim was to create a space that feels refined, warm and timeless, while still having plenty of character.

🪞 DESIGN STUDY 01 | Small Maltese Apartment Entrance

A beautiful entrance isn’t just about choosing beautiful furniture — it’s about understanding the space, identifying its limitations and making every design decision work towards a purpose.

For this design study, I explored how I would approach a typical narrow entrance in a Maltese apartment — a space with limited natural light, little character and the need to create a greater sense of space.

This is a conceptual design study created to demonstrate my design process rather than a completed client commission.

The concept? Warm European character with a modern Maltese feel.

I introduced a slim timber console to maintain comfortable circulation, decorative wall mouldings to give the entrance architectural character, ambient wall sconces for warmth, and a large statement mirror to create depth and visual impact.

But the mirror wasn't chosen simply because it looks beautiful.

Its scale, position and reflection were all considered. Rather than adding unnecessary visual clutter, the mirror reflects the entrance door, while the wider sightline towards the living space and natural light beyond helps the entrance feel visually connected to the rest of the home.

The result is an entrance designed to feel warm • elegant • functional • considered — without needing to physically make the space larger.

This is the kind of thinking I bring to interior design in Malta: looking beyond individual furniture and finishes to consider proportions, lighting, circulation, sightlines and how one space connects to another.

🪞 Small Maltese home? Your space may be limited — but it doesn’t have to feel that way.

One of the simplest small-space interior design tricks is also one of the most effective: using mirrors strategically.

The right mirror placement can completely change how you experience a compact room:
