This kitchen went from dark and dated to bright, inviting, and full of character! The homeowners wanted a space that felt welcoming for gatherings and reflected the vibrancy of Mexican culture and cuisine—so that’s exactly what we delivered.

Before ➡️ After: A Coastal Transformation in La Cruz

This living room in La Cruz had so much potential, but it needed a fresh perspective to truly shine. The before image shows a space weighed down by dated furniture, dark walls, and too much clutter.

Now, swipe to the after! ✨ We reimagined the living room with a clean, modern coastal look that embodies the relaxed elegance of Bahía de Banderas. Light walls, thoughtfully scaled furniture, and a curated design replaced the chaos with harmony. The result? A bright, airy space perfect for unwinding and entertaining, all while celebrating the essence of living by the beach.

We were recently speaking with some former clients who bought a home in Santa Fe, and it got us thinking about our own trip to this magical place last year. Santa Fe is truly one of those destinations that stays with you, filled with incredible design inspiration at every turn.

From the warm, earthy tones of adobe finishes to the vibrant patterns of southwestern textiles, the region reflects a rich mix of influences—including Mexican design. On our trip, we were especially drawn to the beautiful architecture, stunning rose gardens, and the rustic charm of animal skulls and hanging ristras (strings of chili peppers).

At Pacifica Design Studio, we love drawing inspiration from travel and bringing the best of those experiences back into our projects. Santa Fe reminds us that design can be deeply rooted in culture and history, creating spaces that feel authentic, soulful, and inviting.
