The answer is simple: they serve two very different purposes.

A resort coordinator is there to represent the venue and oversee the hotel’s operations. A wedding planner is there to represent you—managing your timeline, coordinating every moving piece, handling the unexpected, and making sure your vision comes to life exactly as you imagined.

Both roles are valuable, but they’re not interchangeable.
