Ciruelo 7 consists of a residential living space of 155 meters squared that displaces the altitude of the
property by 7 x 15 meters. Located on the outskirts of the city of Cancun, Mexico, the architectural program
distributes the space into three levels, including: living room, dining space, kitchen, backyard patio, storage
room, four bedrooms, laundry room, service quarters, and a terrace.
The dense architectural program, the zoning of the area of the property, and the future colliding
constructions permit a space of 7 x 9 x 9 meters with an interior configuration that prioritizes the quality of
the experience within the spaces and the interior perspectives.
In the interior, the double ceiling height visually connect the public program on the first primary floor with
the private second floor. The core of the stairs creates a passage of selective views throughout the house,
in the first floor out to the garden, through the first floor up to the double height ceiling space, and the
second floor towards the private terrace where the light and natural ventilation endows the flow and
movement of the stairs.
The primary façade holds a beautiful view towards the street with ‘Katalox’, a tropical wood, lattice covering

Ciruelo7 consiste en una vivienda de 155 metros cuadrados que se desplanta en predio de 7 x 15 metros ubicado en las afueras de la ciudad de Cancún, México. El programa arquitectónico distribuido en 3 niveles, consta de sala, comedor, cocina, , patio trasero, bodega, cuatro recamaras, lavandería, servicios y terraza.
El denso programa arquitectónico, las limitantes en el área del predio y las futuras construcciones colindantes dan como respuesta un volumen de 7 x 9 x 9 metros con una configuración interior que prioriza la calidad espacial y las vistas interiores.
En el interior, la doble altura conecta visualmente el programa publico de planta baja y el programa privado de primer nivel. El núcleo de escaleras genera un recorrido de vistas a lo largo de la casa, en planta baja hacia el jardín posterior, en primer nivel hacia la doble altura y en segundo nivel a la terraza privada que dota de luz y ventilación al núcleo de escaleras.
La fachada principal con vistas hacia la calle se recubre de una celosía de madera tropical de ‘Katalox’ con un sistema de ensambles fabricado por ebanistas locales que controla el acceso de luz natural y de privacidad al interior.
