Another delightful (too short!) trip to San Miguel—always full of fresh discoveries, plus revisiting favorite showrooms and galleries to see what’s new.

Then on to the San Francisco Bay Area, landing in Marin County, where the design conversation continues.

In Mill Valley anthony_meier_ gallery in addition the etheric drawings of Barbara Stauffacher Solomon, it was so fun to see Rudy and Rodman of sharing the works of some of the Mexican artists they represent- Flores Cosmos was pure magic🌸

After three inspiring days immersed in art, architecture, and culture, our group enjoyed a well-deserved free day -
Some ventured out to the majestic Teotihuacan pyramids, others explored the vibrant Museo de Arte Popular and the ancient Templo Mayor, ending the day with a magical dinner overlooking the ruins and watching the storm clouds roll in.

The following morning - Day #5, we dove back into our Design Week itinerary—starting at the Design House extravaganza, and then on to discovering visionary showrooms, exhibitions, and finally the extraordinary creative community at La Laguna, a remarkable example of the adaptive reuse of industrial space in Mexico City. In the midst of this we had our favorite taco meal at Maizaje and at the end a cocktail by the pool at Soho House.

A first unforgettable days on Mexico City Design Week Tour ✨

Day 1 — An introduction to CDMX: the Museo Nacional de Antropología, nearby museums, and dinner under the vines at Rosetta.
Day 2 — Frida and Diego’s world: Casa Azul, Museo Anahuacalli, and their shared studio and houses by Juan O’Gorman, with lunch at San Ángel Inn.
Day 3 — Light, color, and form: Luis Barragán’s final masterpiece, Casa Gilardi; Max Cetto’s home; and a late lunch at Tetetlán, built into ancient lava rock.
