🌿 Nance: un fruto ancestral de la Península de Yucatán
El nance (Byrsonima crassifolia) es uno de los frutos nativos de Mesoamérica y forma parte de la riqueza alimentaria tradicional de la cultura maya. En Yucatán se conoce también por su nombre maya chi, y ha sido aprovechado tradicionalmente como alimento, además de formar parte del patrimonio gastronómico de la región.
Pequeño pero lleno de sabor, el nance aporta vitamina C, fibra, minerales y compuestos antioxidantes, incluyendo compuestos fenólicos. Su sabor puede variar enormemente según el árbol: desde dulce y aromático hasta ácido o astringente.
