Another cinema room completed in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan — but this one came with quite a few memories along the way.
From the early site planning stage, discussing ideas and understanding the needs, to rolling out the plans and slowly bringing everything to life — it was definitely not a quick process, but it was certainly an enjoyable one.
The owner, who is now also our friend, Zaki, had a very clear idea of what he wanted. He is a hardcore TRON fan and had always wished to create an immersive cinema with a TRON-inspired theme.
He wanted a space where he could completely immerse himself in the movie universe, switch off from work and stress, and occasionally enjoy some quality time with family and friends.
And one thing about Zaki — he has very high expectations when it comes to the audio visual experience.
Before making his decision, Zaki took the opportunity to visit both of our demonstration centres in Selangor and Northern Malaysia. After experiencing the different setups and discussing the possibilities together, he decided to move forward with us to bring his own cinema room to life.
I’ve got to admit, there were definitely stressful moments along the way 😂 — especially as we were working towards completing everything before Hari Raya.
There were also several different parties involved throughout the project, including the wet works, ventilation and electrical teams, so a lot of coordination had to happen behind the scenes.
But seeing the room finally come alive made everything worthwhile.
A big thank you as well to all the crews and contractors who were involved and helped us throughout the project. It really took everyone working together to make this happen.
What I appreciate most, though, is that somewhere along the project, the relationship became more than just customer and service provider.
We still talk, exchange ideas, and occasionally sit down in the cinema together playing with the system.
Thank you, Zaki, for trusting ELABB with your space — and even more for the friendship that came from it.
This is probably one of the parts of this business that I enjoy the most.
