Why I Moved from Ireland to Kuala Lumpur

People often ask me why I left Ireland and moved to Kuala Lumpur to start a new design studio.

The truth is, I wasn’t looking for a fresh start.

After eight years of studying, working, and building my design business in Ireland, I began to see an opportunity to combine European design experience with Asia’s sourcing and manufacturing strengths.

That journey eventually led me to Kuala Lumpur and the founding of ELORIN.

I believe great design is more than beautiful renderings.

It’s about creating spaces that are thoughtful, functional, and truly lived in.

This isn’t starting over.

It’s simply the next chapter.
