Early this year wrapping up my final project in Malaysia—at least for now! ✨

From the space design to the selection of wood to the joints and fitting of all the structures together, to the wood finishing, this entire project experience was so fulfilling and rewarding.

We’re incredibly honoured to have been entrusted with furnishing our client’s beautiful home in Georgetown, Penang. This journey has been nothing short of amazing, and I’m so grateful to our wonderful clients for believing in us. 🫶

Here’s what we worked on:
Kitchen island top
— Crafted from 2"x4" Merbau wood, alternating with dark and light tone.
— Finished with beeswax and linseed oil for a natural, durable shine

Wine Rack Shelves
— Made from 3/4" Merbau wood using traditional dovetail joinery.
— Finished with clear matte lacquer and buffed with beeswax-linseed oil for a rich, timeless look, and protection.

Floating Shelves
— Built with 3/4" Merbau wood, secured with French cleats hooks.
— Finished with a clear matte lacquer for a sleek, minimalist finish.

I bid farewell to this beautiful town and community of friends that made living here full of joy and fun.

Restoring an Antique Cabinet is no easy feat because of its exquisite craftsmanship and intricate details.

With its delicate carvings, stripping the paint off without damaging any of its parts is the most crucial part of the job. A mistake could be easily made which is why this project had to be handled with the utmost care.

Revealing the gorgeous Teak wood beneath the paint, we've finished it with dark timber stain and beeswax buffing. A great way to renew the old, tired wood.

We're thankful to be trusted with this family heritage and glad to be able to restore this handsome piece.

Made for an embroidery artist, she needed a workspace to organize and store her plethora of embroidery threads. 🧵🪡

The cabinet body frame is made from 18mm hard plywood, solid Nyatoh Wood, and Maple veneer. With 9 drawers, each containing 51 compartments, this hefty piece is made for any organized artisan with an appreciation for natural beauty.

As evident in the beautiful grains highlighted from every angle, this beauty was truly a pleasure to work with.

Another gorgeous cabinet completed! This time for a dear friend's home ✨

Made with 20mm Cengal Wood, and adorned with Maple veneer plywood, this cabinet is put together using fine joinery techniques, giving it a lifelong span to last for generations.

Adding a finer touch to the cabinet, the handles are lovingly hand carved; a delight for those with a finer eyer.

Proud to share another mosaic work, this time a jewelry box for a dear friend who creates macrame bracelets using precious stones.

Crafted using Balau wood, the interiors are highlighted using Cherry veneered plywood, accented with Nyatoh blocks as holders for the bracelets, providing an aesthetic contrast. For the mosaic work, a combination of Maple, Oak and Merbau wood is used to create the checkered look.

This is yet another piece we take pride on and hope to have more opportunities to create more mosaic pieces.
