🎨 Finished your acrylic painting… what’s next?

Do you NEED to varnish it? 🤔

The answer: Not always — but varnishing can be a useful final step to help protect your finished artwork.

Depending on the product, a protective finish can help: ✨ Protect the surface from dust, dirt & handling
☀️ Provide UV protection where specified
🖼️ Create a more even final finish
🎨 Keep your finished artwork protected

Before applying anything, make sure your acrylic painting is completely dry and always check the product instructions.

And remember: an acrylic medium and a final varnish are not necessarily the same thing. Choose the right finish depending on your artwork and the protection you need.

We’ll explain more about the different varnish and protective finish options in our next videos! 👀
