A project that is aimed at creating a modern classic home. Modern classic is highly inspired by clean and unadorned interiors that use natural materials such as wood, leather, etc. for surface treatment. Plywood, veneer, polished and glossy surface is often used in modern furniture. Walls are usually in white for that expansive feeling. Hints of colors are used in moderation focusing more on minimal neutral colors.

CONDO INTERIOR DESIGN | TRIGON LUXURY RESIDENCES | SETIAWALK

A monotonous shade of black, grey and white is tastefully applied in this design to achieve the client’s project brief of a contemporary home that is stylish with a touch of elegance. The daughter’s room is designed with a slight English concept that still uses grey and white for the whole look, but enhances with a soft touch of pink from fabrics. The same applies to the son’s room. On the whole, built-in furniture is in grey and white but enhanced with hues of blues, greens, etc. from fabrics and display collections.

In fact, it’s one of the few highly used materials that last almost forever with a high value. Because of the timber material that is widely used we have to limit to only 2 or 3 neutral tones to not clash with the material, white and grey are used as a background color to further enhanced the timber material and still remain clean, spacious, and comfort.

The client for this project adores dark walnut. The challenge is to create a space that uses ample dark walnut in an elegant way instead of stretching too far turning the atmosphere into a dark and gloomy space. Leather sofas are carefully selected to complement the wood, mirrors and glass to further enhance the spatial arrangement, lighting is carefully placed to lit up at the correct spot. The outcome of the design is an elegant space that is tastefully done up.

The project brief was to design the house with minimal materials of marble, timber, paint and mirror to keep it clean & simple. The client also requested to fit all existing furniture to the design and to allocate space for the family’s collection of the oriental pieces. The outcome of the design is minimal and clean without losing the touch of comfort with the use of timber materials.

A young couple that works from home, the project brief was to transform part of the living room into a working space with decent storage for paper works and books keeping. The trick is to design the working space that doesn’t look out of the space and act as part of the living room too. We played with a darker tone of timber and matching black mild steel, dark grey paint and a large piece of mirrors to achieve a spacious, contemporary home for the young couple.

Semi-D interior design at Garden Residence. The project brief was to design not the whole house but only in certain areas. The tricky part is to able to still merge the newly designed areas with the existing space without being too loud on colors and materials. The final outcome of this project is largely influenced by the existing surroundings that still fit in without compromising on comfort and style.

Contrast comes in many forms. In this case, it’s a contrast of colors and materials used. A glance at the interior and you’ll see a contrast between the public space and the private space. Public space here refers to the living, kitchen and dining area that is largely in white to create that spacious illusion but further enhance with furniture that’s in a darker tone and has a wood element to give it a balance. In contrast with the public space, private space which are the bedrooms, walk-in wardrobe and toilet uses a darker shade of brown and timber surface treatment to create a warmth and cozy relaxing sleeping area but is balanced up with softer shades of white and neutral furniture.
