This katana is fully hand forged. Featuring a hand forged 1060 high carbon steel blade, the blade is 12 steps hand polishing which made the surface of the blade like a mirror. the whole blade is also heat treated and oil quenched. The saya of the sword is wooden with a brown matt finish. The sageo is black thick synthetic fiber tied over a wooden kurigata with golden sh*tedome.

Aoi Shirasaya (青い), Damascus folded steel, full tang with bo-hi

In Japanese sword tradition, the shirasaya represents one of the most understated yet purposeful forms of mounting. Without a tsuba or elaborate fittings, its design strips the sword down to its essence—allowing the blade itself to take center stage. It is a style long associated with preservation and appreciation, where the beauty of the steel becomes the true focus.

The Aoi Shirasaya follows this philosophy closely. Its Damascus folded steel blade reveals flowing layers created through repeated heating, hammering, and folding—an age-old process that strengthens the blade while forming distinctive patterns across its surface. The striking blue electroplated finish not only gives the blade its name but also adds a protective layer against corrosion.

Paired with a deep blue hardwood saya, the overall look remains calm, refined, and quietly striking. Green Saya AISI 1060 Steel Oil Quenched Tanto

This is a 1060 high carbon steel Tanto sword. The blade was made of 1060 steel with BOHI(blood groove), which allows for a lighter blade and audible feedback when swung. The blade of this tanto is hand polished and hand sharpened by 12 steps which create the surface of the blade like a morrior. This blade also comes with a full Tang which greatly enhances the strength of the sword while swung. It has a fine finished alloy tsuba(guard) with bamboo design. The tsuka is wrapped in black genuine SAMEGAWA (ray skin) and the tsuka-ito is dark green synthetic silk. The saya is done in a green high gloss finished style, and the sageo is black synthetic cord. This is a sharpened, super, truly battle ready Samurai Tanto sword very suitable for iaido and kendo superior.
