The minimalist palette of the renovated 550 Madison in New York draws attention to the A+Award-winning lobby's new crown jewel: a 24-ton marble art installation suspended by chain cables, which hangs solitarily like an alien planet suspended in space.

Geila Daughtrey founded Rockett Studio in Singapore in 2014, shortly after which she was recognized for her 'design excellence and outstanding contribution to the design industry' by Hong Kong’s premier architecture and design magazine, Perspective.

IDCS warmly welcomes Geila as our new Council Member who brings with her over twenty years of experience designing commercial interiors for projects spanning across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Asia.

Geila is passionate about interior design and is a strong advocate for the Say No to Free Design Movement, where she says "It is really important we unite as Designers and stop doing unpaid work. Just as clients need to be better informed, students need to be taught how to respond to requests for free work, in order to collectively defend the value of the design industry as a whole".
