We made a decision to cut down the huge tree as the leaves always creep into the pool. This apparently also makes a perfect habitat for frogs - I dont know how they survive chlorinated water btw. It would've been great if this is a pond but it is not 😅. After having had to clean up the pool almost on a daily basis, we decided to cut it down.

It is sad. I lost my christmas tree because we've wrapped LEDs around this tree that made our house look like shopping mall on Christmas night. And now it is hot like a desert out here.

But it had to be done. Because cleaning up pool is no joke either. Its not like I have a cabana boy willing to clean up every day😆

Goodbye tree. Thank you for the awesome three years.

Rezeki for the day. I didnt expect to harvest this right before we were about to host a party. I'm so happy that I get to give the winged beans to some of the visiting family members. Looks like the squirrel left a handful of mulberries too. I normally didnt even get to see these turn red.

My one and only dwarf robin tomato tree starts flowering. She's probably 2 months old by now. This is one of the random seedlings I planted before I start doing plant logs.

I observed that most IG friends are thinning the leaves to allow for aeration for the flowers. This is already post thinning. And it already made me sad. I cant bring myself to cut more. I love the crispy looking leaves. They make me happy.

This is why I can never be a succesful farmer. Lol.

I was wondering why my tomato seedling's growth are super slow and the leaves are yellowing. They were looking so much better in seed pods compared to the bigger medium

All my researches are pointing towards either lack of nutrients or root rots. I think it doesnt make sense for such young and small plants.

I noticed the little veins of roots showing on the surface - photo 3. The good news is this means my seedlings are growing but why yellowing?

I decided to top up the soil to cover the exposed roots. And one week later - Photo no.4 onwards, it is looking so much healthier. Yay! Level 1 skill unlocked.

From pods to pots

Transplanted batch 2 of the seedlings to bigger pots today. They still look small but I have no patience. If I were to wait for next weekend, I'm going to be super busy with my already long to do list.

Lesson no. 1. Never do transplanting in the middle of noon. I need more discipline to start my day way earlier next time. Please survive...

Found this creeper at the kebun. Apparently this is called melothria pendula. A tiny creeping cucumber. It turns black when it ripened. According to google, the green cucumbers are edible but the black ones are toxic. I dont dare to experiment it on myself. But for now, I'm keeping this

I havent been visiting my kebun for three months... as soon as 2023 started I am bombarded with all sorts of events. I have been on constant business travels it felt like a year had passed. And my husband is doing major renovation work at home that the thought of just stepping into my lawn felt so heavy to me.

So what do I expect? Obviously my kebun has turned into jungle (again). But thankfully, Daniel did a great job of cleaning up all the messy growths. Today finally I mustered all the courage to face disappointment. But I was greeted with a pleasant surprise.

My mulberries are happily fruiting. The pokok kantan that I've been growing over the past 2 years are finally giving me two beautiful buds. And my bidara... I really thought this is just going to be a barren tree. But I saw three fruits!!!

I dont know if I even deserved this. Thank you my plants... for staying with me.... 🥰🥰🥰🥰
