The GSK campaign is officially launched! Let’s all do our part to properly dispose of used asthma inhalers and medicine blister packaging at any of the participating pharmacies and hospitals. Every small action counts, to reduce landfill waste and prevent unused medications and greenhouse gases from contaminating the environment.

Congratulations to our Collaborative Design Practice students whose creative art installation was selected for this campaign! Their artwork “The Boy and the Bubble” will be making its way around the Klang Valley as part of the Roving Truck roadshow. Swipe left to find out more!

We are pleased to have Low Hsin Yin 👩🏻‍💻share her latest project 📌 “BARANG² SENDIRI S’JA: Commercial Vehicle Labels in Malaysia”

The sharing session reveals Hsin’s discoveries around the mundane markings found on commercial vehicles 🚛 in Malaysia. Through conversations 🗣️ with the sign writer(s) 🖌️who work on commercial vehicle’s labelling, Hsin was able to better understand 🧠 the practice and process, writing tools, methods used, and how these sign painters eked out a livelihood.

Hsin Yin is a type and graphic designer ✏️ from Malaysia 🇲🇾. She frequently collaborates with .my & HRF Type in conducting calligraphic and typographic workshops as well as creating typeface designs. She also provides design solutions and consultations for branding projects on a freelance basis, and teaches graphic design courses at local institutions, including at The Design School, Taylor’s University.

The academic team from Bachelor of Design (Hons) Creative Media led by Programme Director, Mr. Mohd Asrizal Razali paid a visit to Virtuos KL as part of the programme and school's initiative to bridge academic and industry. Virtuos KL, led by its Studio General Manager, Mufizal Mokhtar and together with Boon Yan Toh, Studio Operation Director and Akmal Hakim, Senior Recruiter.

Some of the agenda discussed is collaboration between both parties were internship placement, design masterclass, guest lectures by Virtuos experts as well as scholarship and employment opportunities for Creative Media students and fresh graduates. Looking forward for a successful 2023 and thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality!

Project title : Ministry of Bath

Taking a bath is a simple luxury and a lost art. The ritual of bathing has been used for health and relaxation since ancient times. Today, a relaxing bath is a simple pleasure still worth making time for. It is said that bathing connects mind and body, revives the senses, and invigorates the soul.

Ministry of Bath is inspired by The Turkish Bath of Damascus, this heaven on earth gives users the experience to just relax and take a bath. It comes with scrubs, infusions, and aromatics diffuser spread in the air that gives users the full rejuvenating experience from body to soul.
