磨石有二說。
一者，名詞，指某類石，光滑而硬者，以之磨刀具使其更加鋒利。
二者，動賓短語，指以二石相擊，擦石生火。
故合上述二者之意涵，取其磨以求銳，磨而生花之粹，生一主義，名曰磨石。
磨石者，單物不成，以己之身利他刀具，若主義二人以己為石，互磨技藝求精求銳，兼互為相擊生火之石，點火燃創念，生花，生華。

磨石主義，以不設限創作，主張以概念激盪概念並落實概念的理念創立。
兩位創辦人家瑞和Keith本是製作娃娃的手作人，在一次談話中迸發了磨石主義的理念，嘗試合作在不同的領域和媒介創作。一次的茶聚，磨石的理念萌芽。
磨石，有兩個意思。
一，名詞，指用來磨刀刃使其鋒利的石頭；二，動賓短語，指用兩塊石頭互相摩擦。磨石主義取以上二者的結合，藉磨石二義以喻，兩位創辦人聯手走出製作娃娃的領域，在不同
的媒介不設限大膽創作，故彼此便是彼此的磨石，藉著彼此的能力與優勢提升自己的能力和技巧，同時間兩人也是動賓短語之磨石中的“石”，透過摩擦、較量、碰撞和激盪產生熱與光，迸發無限的創作可能性。
一如首句的闡述，磨石主義的創作過程十分自由，兩位手作人會根據自己的喜好和審美運用素材自由創作。在創作完成時，可見同樣的素材在兩者手中透過相異的技巧可以形成風格和性質上懸殊甚遠的作品，同時卻也可以發現兩者之間的互動、交流甚至影響，從而激盪創作的靈感和提升創作力與創作量。
目前，磨石主義以集中開發另類飾品為磨石首個創作媒介的嘗試，製作在類別和形態較為另類的飾品如耳飾、頭冠、鳳冠、頭釵、背鍊、手鐲等，而在將來，磨石將繼續不設限創作，投入各類好玩的領域，互相激盪，迸發概念，落實概念。

Moses, a name with pronunciation close to 磨石, thus MosesisM. The name Mosesism refers to Moses the prophet in Exodus, symbolizing our strong and firm determination to pursue our dream on the path of Creative and Culture industry, expressing ourselves through our work and overcoming obstacles. As for the M letter in our logo, it represents MosesisM, with the alphabet as a mirrored image which could be divided into halves of left and right, it symbolize the collaboration of two of us that initiate Mosesism, we link up to inspire and support each other,and it takes two of us to form a solid foundation. Last but not least, the four arrows pointing towards four directions symbolizing the diversity of creativity in the future of MosesisM. And with the alphabet M placed on the centre of the crossed arrows, it forms a core of diamond shape, which symbolizes the core of MosesisM, to inspire ideas with ideas.
