SPC (Stone Plastic Composite) flooring is already very durable, but how you maintain it makes a big difference in how long it keeps that “luxury finish” look. Here’s how to keep it looking sharp for years:
1. Keep dirt and grit off the surface
Dust, sand, and small particles act like sandpaper over time. Sweep daily or use a soft vacuum. This is especially important in busy areas like living rooms or entryways.
2. Mop smart, not wet
SPC is water-resistant, but too much water can still affect the joints. Use a damp mop, not a soaking wet one. A mild floor cleaner (no harsh chemicals) works best.
3. Avoid harsh cleaning products
Stay away from bleach, ammonia, or abrasive scrubbers—they can dull the finish. Gentle, pH-neutral cleaners will preserve that polished look.
4. Protect against scratches
• Use felt pads under furniture legs
• Avoid dragging heavy items (lift instead)
• Place rugs in high-traffic zones
5. Control sunlight exposure
Too much direct sunlight can fade the color over time. Use curtains or blinds (this is where your brand can shine 😉) to reduce UV exposure.
6. Clean spills immediately
Even though SPC resists water, don’t leave spills sitting—especially oily or colored liquids that can stain over time.
7. Maintain a stable indoor environment
Extreme heat or temperature changes can affect the floor slightly. Keep your space well-ventilated and avoid excessive heat directly on the floor.
8. Use proper mats at entrances
Outdoor and indoor mats help trap dirt before it reaches your floor—simple but very effective.
