Today’s little crafting story

I sat down to make a circular bead pattern after watching some tutorial videos, confidence high.
Only for my first try to proudly come out as… a hexagon 😅
It wasn’t what I planned, but guess what? I accidentally learned a whole new pattern. A blessing in disguise, right?
Went back, watched the video again, this time with my full chest 😂
I tried once more, and boom! The circle finally formed.
So now I’ve learned two patterns instead of one. Progress is progress! ☺️

Continuation of my crochet story…

You didn’t think I was going to give up again after my first try, huh? 😃
Nah, I really hope that phase ended in primary school because this thing has hooked me!

I enjoyed making that first piece, but using a tiny pin and thin yarn as a beginner was not so easy. So I decided to use a bigger hook and thicker yarn this time— and trust me, I think I’ve found myself a new hobby. 😁

Is this what I’ve been missing? Because the dopamine rush is real! Where have I been all this while??

Let’s not even talk about the fact that crochet is a whole business opportunity on its own yet— the process alone is sooo satisfying. My hands don’t even want to rest.

I know I’m not there yet, but I’m excited to keep learning from the pros.

I’ve watched so many crocheting videos online, but I never imagined I would ever crochet anything myself. The last time I ever tried crocheting was back in primary school — just one chain and I gave up. 😂

The funny part? I only bought a crochet pin to help me pull fishing line out of wrong bead holes while beading.

One day, out of curiosity, I picked up some yarn I had at home, that I never dreamt of touching, and decided to ‘just try.’
I wasn’t even expecting anything… but the yarn started forming into this little piece you see here, a small mat that couldn't decide if it wanted to be round, square, cone shaped or somewhere in between, and some pearls to the edge. Don't even ask me what it is because I don't know either 😂

It may not look like much to anyone else, but to me, it’s a beautiful beginning.
The moment I realized that something I never thought possible, me crocheting, is actually possible.
