Mike’s POV

I followed him to the room as I heard them talking about something which I couldn’t understand.

“Which food?” I questioned looking confused.

Helen stared at me looking really shocked.

Suddenly, she stood up covering her mouth like she wanna vomit and ran to the toilet.

“What is wrong with her?” I thought as I walked towards Katrina who looked so shocked.

She just stared at the food in her hand as if she is finding something in it.

The man stood to go but I stopped him.

“What’s going on here?” I asked him and he just stood staring at me from head to toe.

“Who are you? And how do you get in here?” I asked firmly.

I moved my gaze away from him and walked up to Katrina.

“Katrina, are you okay? Hope you aren’t hurt?” I asked looking concerned.

“Mike,” She called faintly.

I stared deep into her beautiful eyes and heaved a sigh.

I took the food from her hands and dropped it on the stool opposite her.

She looked a little bit upset.

“Let’s go,” I said lifting her up from where she is seated.

She stood up and I tried dragging her out but she stopped me.

“Wait, please,” She said removing her hands from mine.

She turned to the toilet and walked towards it.

What might be wrong because I don’t seem to understand anything, I’m just so happy to see Katrina but she don’t seem to be happy to see me.

“What exactly is the problem??” I thought and walked up to them.

Katrina’s POV

I stared at her as she just keeps on insisting that I eat the food.

I already know her plan and will surely make it fail.

After all her persistence, I decided to fool her.

She can’t be wiser than I am.

“Fine, I will, but can’t you just stare away, I feel a little bit shy,” I said.

“Ohh, no problem,” She said and turned to the right as I stared at her.

I noticed as she keeps using her left eye to stare at me, I’m sure it is to confirm whether I eat it or not.

I then picked up a spoonful and inserted it into my mouth hiding it under my tongue.

I promised myself not to abort the pregnancy and i won’t.

I noticed her smiling widely.

She can’t even hide her smile.

“Idiot!!” I thought to myself.

Suddenly, the door opened and the guy who brought the food in appeared with his eyes widened.

“What’s wrong?” She asked facing him.

“Ma’am, please hope you haven’t eaten your food??” He asked walking towards her.

“What does he mean by that?” I thought

“Why are you asking?” Helen asked with a frown on her face.

‘Ma’am, please I’m sorry, I made a mistake while serving the food to you both, I gave you her own,” He said silently that I could hardly hear.

“What??” She yelled with her eyes widened.

Don’t tell me she ate the poisoned food………….then…..that means the one under my tongue isn’t poisoned??

“Gosh!” I thought as I chewed the food.

‘Wow!! It’s so delicious,” I thought as I ate naughtily.

“Which food??” I heard a familiar voice from behind and stared up only to find the one I have so much missed and wished to see.

My Mike!!

Gosh! He just stood staring surprisingly

OMG! He looks so cute.

I can’t believe my heart has started beating for him

He walked closer to the man and later to me.

“Katrina, are you okay? Hope you aren’t hurt?” He asked staring at me with a concerned look.

“Mike,” I called faintly admiring his cute looking eyes.

He stared at me and took the food from her hands and dropped it on the stool opposite me.

I stared at him admiring his cute face.

Gosh! My hands are itching to touch it, his lips looks juicy.

Gosh! Wait oh Katrina, why are behaving like this Katrina?? Are you out of your mind??” I thought

“Let’s go,” He said lifting me up breaking my thoughts.

I stood up and he tried dragging me out but I stopped me.

“Wait, please,” I said removing my hands from his.

“I have to talk senses into her before leaving here,” I thought and turned to the direction of the toilet.

I walked towards it and met her forcing herself to vomit every pieces of the food.

“Hey Miss, have you seen where your foolishness has led you to??” I said boldly.

She turned to look at me and shot a stare at me.

“I know you will surely regret it, but how can you be so heartless Helen???” I said silently with pain in my hearts.

Suddenly, she began coughing and beating her chest.

“Please, bring me those drugs,” She said in pain.

“Drugs?? And do you think I’m gonna bring it for you??” I asked.

“Please Katrina, please!” She said holding her neck as if she is about to die.

I heaved a sigh and walked up to the table and picked up the drugs.

“Don’t give her,” Mie tried stopping me but I shook my head.

He realized his grip and let me go.

I walked back to her and gave it to her.

She quickly collected and threw it into her mouth.

I gave her the bottle of water in my hand and she gulped it down.

After taking the drugs, she heaved a deep sigh.

I then forced on her.

I really need to talk senses into her head.

“Now tell me, how can you be so heartless? How would you feel if someone poisons your food?

Why could you think of aborting my baby?? Why?? What’s your problem with me?? I took you as a friend but I don’t know you have such a bad plan for me.

What if I take in the food which was poisoned and dies, what would you say??

Just because of your selfish act Helen, and do you think after all that, Mike will still love you??” I said as tears rolled down my eyes.

I am really hurt.

What?? Baby?? Which baby?? Whose is Pregnant? Mike asked looking confused.

“You got your Sister’s nanny pregnant,” Helen said

“What?? You are pregnant?? For who? Me??” He asked facing me.

I stared at him and I felt something piercing my heart.

“Gosh! I can’t believe this, don’t tell me Mike is about to deny my baby.” I thought as tears rolled down my cheeks.

Mike’s POV

I heaved a sigh as he concluded.

I just can’t believe that it is when she became missing that Molly needs her urgently.

“I really need to go to that building to search for her again,” I thought as I bowed my head to the ground.

I am really upset right now.

“You can go now but don’t forget all what I told you about, is that clear?” The doctor said

“Yes sir, Thank you sir,” I said standing up from where I’m seated as I turned to go

I pulled down the door k**b gently and the door opened then I walked out of his office.

I stood by the door as tears rolled down my cheeks.

“Katrina!! Where exactly are you??” I cried out as I bowed my head to the ground.

“I need you please, come back to me,” I murmured as I cried.

I stood there crying for about some minutes before walking towards the direction of Molly’s ward.

I opened the door gently and entered

She was asleep.

I moved my gaze to Adrian who has been besides her petting her to sleep.

He stood up immediately he saw me entering and walked up to me.

“Did you cry?” He asked with a frown.

I forced a smile.

“No,” I said shaking my head as I walked past him.

He turned and followed me behind.

“Tell me what the doctor say,” He asked when he got to where I stood.

“I have to find Katrina unless something bad might happen to Molly,” I said faintly as I stared at my little sister.

I held her little hand and stared deeply at it.

Suddenly, I thought of something and I quickly faced Adrian.

“Wait here for me please, I have to go back there,” I said facing him.

“Why don’t you just call Katrina herself, at least she has a phone,” He suggested.

“Her phone isn’t with her, I saw it on the dining table, she must have forgotten it while eating this morning,” I said calmly.

“Oh gosh!” He muttered.

“What about calling Helen herself?” He asked

“I thought of it but I’m thinking she might not disclose the truth to me so I will go to that house and bribe those boys, I’m sure they won’t say no,” I said and he nodded.

“Wow! You have gotten smarter than I thought,” He said and I chuckled.

“Will you watch after her for me till I come back?” I asked

“Sure, you can count on me,” He said with a smile.

“Alright, Thanks,” I said and tap his arm and made a move to go.

I walked out of the hospital and walked towards my car.

I inserted the keys into it and opened the door then entered.

I closed the door behind and started the engine then drove away.

I drove off towards the direction of the uncompleted building.

I alighted from my car as soon as I parked my car in front of her gate.

I gently opened the gate and entered fully into the compound.

I walked towards their door and there I met the same guards I met then

“Hello,” I said smiling

They stared at each other and suddenly tightened their fists ready for a fight.

I smiled slightly as I walked up to them.

“I’m not here to fight with you guys, I came to apologize for what I did earlier,” I said trying to be friendly.

They turned a deaf ear and shot an angry stare at me.

They really wanna beat me up this time but I’m not really for them.

Suddenly, I dip my right hand into my pocket and brought out an huge amount of money.

I counted some amount from it and handed it over to one of the boys.

He stared at me and later to the money.

He stared at the other guy beside him and that one signaled to him to collect it.

I smiled slightly to myself.

He later stared at me and they both released their fist and smiled brightly.

“How much is in there?” The other guy asked.

“$50,” I said.

“$50!!” They both exclaimed and stared at each other and later to me.

“Well, what do you want us to do for you?” one of them asked after clearing his throat.

“Tell me where your boss is and the lady she kidnapped please,” I said gently.

“You are asking us for two things so that means you will have to add to the money,” The other man said.

“Alright,” I nodded and dipped my hands into my pocket again and counted out $20 from it and handed it over to them.

They collected the $70 and smiled brightly.

“Tell me now,” I said

“Okay, they are inside the building,” They chorused

“Really? Please take me there,” I said.

“We can’t, but we are gonna direct you there,” one of them said.

“Alright, I’m listening,” I said eagerly.

“When you enter, you will turn to the left and walk straight until you get to the next turning which is the right, you will see a staircase, climb on it and turn to the right again, the second room, that’s where they are.” He concluded.

“Alright, thank you very much,” I shook hands with them and entered into the building.

“Please be careful,” One of them said.

“Alright, I will,” I said and nodded.

I followed their description.

When I got to the next turning which is the right, I saw a man running through the stair case they said I’m gonna pass.

“What’s wrong??” I thought

“Could he be going to that room??” I thought again and my head ticked.

I followed him behind and truly, he entered the second room.

He didn’t even close the door.

“I think I will just follow him as he enters,” I thought climbing through the stairs.

Helen’s POV

I stared at her as she keeps digging the spoon into the food without eating it.

Could she have heard my conversation with him??
Or could she be suspecting anything??
I don’t think so.

She is not a smart type.

“Maybe she is shy,” I thought again and decided to ask her.

“Why aren’t you eating??” I questioned with a frown on my face.

“Ohh, well actually, hmmmm, I don’t have appetite,” She said.

I stared at her suspicious.

She is never like this before.

Hope it’s not that what am thinking is true??

“Well, can’t you just have a taste of it??” I asked with a little smile on my face.

“Hmm, I don’t feel like,” She said with a little frown on her face.

“Gosh!! This girl wants to fall my plan,” I thought as my bowed my head to the ground.

“Fine, maybe you don’t trust me,” I said pretending to feel offended.

“Oh no, I trust you Helen,” She said nodding.

“Then if you do, why can’t you just have a taste,” I said staring at her.

“Fine, I will, but can’t you just stare away, I feel a little bit shy,” She said.

“Ohh, no problem,” I said and turned to the right as I inserted the food on spoon into my mouth.

I used my left eye to stare at her if really she eats it or not.

I saw her picking up the spoon and inserting it into her mouth.

“Boom!” I thought happily.

I had a wide smile on my face as I continued chewing my food.

Suddenly, the door opened and the guy who brought the food in appeared with his eyes widened.

“What’s wrong?” I questioned staring at him suspiciously.

“Ma’am, please hope you haven’t eaten your food??” He questioned walking towards me.

“Why are you asking?” I asked with a frown.

‘Ma’am, please I’m sorry, I made a mistake while serving the food to you both, I gave you her own,” He said silently as he got on his knee.

“What??” I roared.

“Which food??” I heard a familiar voice from behind and stared up only to find the person I couldn’t expect.

It is………………..MIKE!!!.

He appeared?

How come??

I stared at him with my eyes widened as I remembered I had eaten the food which was poisoned.

“OMG!!!!” I screamed and ran into the toilet to spill out the food.

Katrina’s POV

Seriously, I can’t believe this, how can she tell me to clean away their bruises and wash their cloths, when am not their slave.

Gosh! This is pure nonsense!!

“I can’t believe this,” I said as I walked towards her office.

She must really be out of her mind.

Suddenly, I stopped half-way.

“Wait oh, Katrina, This is really your time to escape from here,” My inner mind said and I turned back.

I tiptoe back to the door.

Fortunately for me, I was able to escape from the door.

I gently closed the door and made my way towards the gate.

As I was about opening the gate gently, I heard my name.

“Jesus Christ!!” I freeze instantly.

“Hey Katrina!! Where the hell do you think you are going??” I heard Helen voice.

“Don’t you dare open that gate!” She ordered as she started walking towards me.

I couldn’t think of anything, I just stood still.

Suddenly, my head ticked and I quickly opened the gate and started running, heading to nowhere in particular.
I keep on running faster as I can.

Suddenly, I turned back and saw some set of boys running after me.

“Oh my God! It’s her boys.”

But how did they manage to stand up quickly.

It increased my pace.

I keep on running and running until I felt really weak.

Gosh! I forgot I’m pregnant. . . . . But this is about my life; I don’t really care about the baby now.

The guys were still running after me.

I stared back and noticed they had almost caught up with me.

I ran really faster than ever forgetting my baby and everything.

My life really matters here.

Suddenly, that stupid urge to vomit came again.

‘Gosh! What am I to do??”

“Aren’t they gonna catch up with me??”

I was really weak.

My eyes were already turning and I don’t know when I feel flat on the ground and fainted.

I slightly opened my eyes as I felt pain all over my body.

This place smells nice and I’m even sleeping on soft foam right now.

“Gosh! I love this bed!”

I rolled to the other side of the bed and close my eyes again.

The air blew on me and I felt a little bit relaxed even though I can still feel some pain all over my body.

Suddenly, I remembered how I fainted.

‘Gosh!! How did I end up here??”

I opened my eyes widely and flew from the bed.

I stared around and saw a lady seated on a chair

The lady is backing me so I don’t really know who she was.

“Hey,” I called faintly and the lady wheeled her chair facing me.

“Oh my Gosh! Helen??” I roared.

She smiled.

“Do you think you can escape from my territory just like that??” She asked standing from the chair.

She walked towards me and sat closely beside me on the bed

She smirked as she stared deeply into my eyes.

I just stared at her and heaved a sigh.

I shifted a little and rested my head on the bed again.

“Why do I feel I’m save here?”

“Why do I feel Helen cannot do anything to me?”

“But at the same time, I am sensing danger,”

She stared down at me and hissed.

I didn’t even behave like I heard her; I just closed my eyes and tried sleeping again.

I really love this bed.

Suddenly, her phone rang and she hurriedly walked out of the room.

“What’s all this about??”

“Why was she startled when the call entered and why did she quickly ran out of the room??”

“Well, that none of my business,” I thought as I tighten my hands to the pillow.

Not long after, I began hearing some sounds.

“What sound is that?” I thought as I opened my eyes and sat up on the bed.

I stepped down from the bed and tiptoe towards the door

I cupped my hands on the door and placed my ears on it so as to hear her conversation.

“Is it set?” She said on the phone.

“Ok, cool, bring it to my room, she is awake, I’m sure she has no choice but to eat it because she must be really hungry,” She said silently.

“Alright, make it snappy, and don’t act suspiciously when you bring the food in, is that clear?” She asked the person.

“Ok, good! You must not fail this time because I really need to make her abort that pregnancy,” She said really faintly that I had to strain my ears just to hear that sentence clearly.

“Alright, bye;” She said and hung up.

I quickly left the door and pretended to lie on the bed wanting to sleep.

Not long after, she opened the door smiling at me.

See this wicked lady; she is still smiling at me after all her bad plans for me.

“I will make sure her plan fails this time.” I thought angrily.

I can’t believe she is really planning all this evil things for me.

I will make sure I never abort that pregnancy just because of what she is trying to do now.

I don’t care if the baby aborts before but now that she is planning to abort it, I will surely protect my baby.

“I’m gonna act along with her,” I thought

She walked towards me on the bed still smiling.

‘I’m sorry for acting harshly towards you but seriously, am friendly,” She said

I stared at her and chuckled

Does she thinks am a fool or what?? “Alright,” I said acting alongside with her.

She smiled slightly.

‘Thanks dear, I will surely take you back to Mike today, is that okay?,” She said smiling.

‘Wow! Really? Thank you so much darling, I know you are a nice person,” I said smiling though inside of me, am really frowning hard at her.

“Yeah, but aren’t you hungry?” She asked looking concerning.

“Oh hungry? I’m not, I will be filled once I see Molly,” I said

“Oh, really? But can’t you just take in something, even just a little, don’t forget you are pregnant and you might feel weak at any time,” She said

“Idiot,” I said to myself.

“I have to agree so she won’t seem suspicious,” I thought again.

“Ok, that’s right,” I said nodding.

“Alright dear,” She said and picked up her phone then dialed a number.

“Bring the food in,” She said on the phone and hang up.

I smirked as I stared at the idiot her.

As she turned to me, I pretended to be smiling.

Not long after, we heard a knock on the door.

“Come in,” She spoke and the door k**b turned down.

A man appeared with a tray of food in his hands.

Helen dragged a table towards me and the man placed the food on the table.

He picked up a plate and handed it to me and then handed another plate of food to Helen.

“Enjoy your food,” He said picking up the tray and turned to go.

He opened the door and walked out.

Helen picked up her spoon and began dipping it into the food.

I stared at the food and it looked appetizing.

It looks delicious to the eyes.

She picked a spoonful and inserted it into her mouth and chewed happily.

I keep on digging the spoon into the food without inserting it into my mouth.

She stared up at me and squeezed her face a little.

“Why aren’t you eating??” She questioned.

My heart completely stopped. The b£ast trapped inside the six-year-old boy had seen me.

I wanted to jump up and run to the front door, but my legs were completely dead. I was frozen in pure t£rror.

Junior smiled his wick£d, chilling smile. He slowly opened his tiny hand, releasing Brother Emeka's throat.

Emeka crashed flat against the tiles, coughing, gasping for air, and holding his broken knee in absolute agony.

"Ada," Junior said in that heavy, rough man's voice. "Drag her out. I hate playing hide and seek."

Sister Ada didn't even hesitate. She completely ignored her bl££ding, crying husband on the floor.

She marched straight into the dark parlor, reached behind the sofa, and grabbed my hair.

"Get up, you cursed f00l!" she hissed. She dragged me across the floor and threw me heavily at Junior's tiny feet.

Brother Emeka watched in absolute horror. He was coughing up bl00d, but his eyes were wide with pure shock.

"Ada?" Emeka choked out, tears of pain and betrayal running down his face. "You... you are serving this d£m0n? In my own house?!"

Junior let out a deep, wicked laugh that echoed loudly through the hallway. He took two steps closer to Emeka’s face.

"You are a very f00lish man, Emeka," Junior mocked him.

"You paid my school fees. You bought me toys. You thought you were raising a son. But every night, while you locked your door to sl££p, I was the one doing a man's job inside your wife."

Emeka let out a loud, heartbreaking cry. "Ada! You brought a m0nst£r into my house?! You let it r@p£ my wife's sister?!"

Sister Ada crossed her arms. Her face was completely hard and wicked. She felt no pity for her husband at all.

"He is not a m0n§t£r, Emeka," she said proudly.

"He is my true king. The rich man I loved before I met a poor man like you. He d!£d, but the native doctor brought his soul back to me in a new body. We only used you for a house to stay in."

My bl00d turned to pure ice. Reincarnation! Junior was Sister Ada's dead sugar daddy, reborn through dark magic to torment us!

"And now," Junior said softly, turning his dark, terrifying eyes to me.

Since I was lying helpless on the floor, he didn't need to reach up. He slowly stretched out his tiny hand and rubbed my bare, pr£gn@nt stomach.

"He is about to be a father," Junior whispered, his rough voice sending sharp shivers down my spine.

I tried to crawl backward, but Sister Ada aggressively kicked my side, forcing me to stay down.

Junior slowly turned his attention back to Emeka, who was still weeping on the floor.

"He has seen too much," Junior said coldly. He looked up at Ada and pointed his tiny finger at Emeka.

"Ada, go to the kitchen. Bring the biggest kn!f£ you can find. K!ll your husband."

Emeka's eyes widened in pure t£rror. He tried to drag himself backward on his broken leg. "Ada... please! Please no!"

But Sister Ada just smiled wick£dly.

Without a single word, she turned around and started walking straight toward the kitchen.

Chapter TEN.....

Just when Daniel was about to end it all, his mother’s face flashed in his mind and he shouted, “No, this is not what I promised my mother.” He broke down in tears, realizing he couldn’t go through with it. In desperation and confusion, he thought of another way out and said, “I would rather dispose of the body.”

“I’m so sorry, Chinedu…”
With trembling hands, he bent down slowly.
He lifted the lifeless b0dy with great effort.
It felt heavier than anything he had ever carried.
Or maybe… it was the weight of guilt crushing him.
His legs shook as he carried him toward the door.
He paused, listening carefully for any sound.
The house remained silent… too silent.
Madam was nowhere in sight, and that scared him more.
He opened the door gently and stepped outside.
The night air hit his skin, cold and unforgiving.
Crickets chirped while distant dogs barked.
Everything around him felt like a warning.
Adjusting the weight on his shoulder, he began to walk.
Step by step, deeper into the darkness behind the house.
“What has my life turned into…” he whispered.
Tears fell freely as he moved toward the bush.
The bush ahead looked thick and endless.
Dark… silent… like a place that swallows secrets.
He hesitated for a moment, fear gripping him tightly.
But Madam’s voice echoed again in his head.
“Handle the remains tonight…” her voice repeated.
Daniel shut his eyes tightly in pain.
“I have no choice…” he said to himself.
And he stepped into the bush.
Branches scratched against his skin as he walked.
Dry leaves cracked loudly beneath his feet.
Every little sound made his heart jump in fear.
He kept looking back, expecting someone to appear.
After what felt like forever, he stopped suddenly.
An old abandoned well stood before him.
Half-covered with broken wood and thick weeds.
Dark, deep, and frighteningly silent.
“This is it…” he whispered with trembling lips.
Slowly, he lowered the body to the ground.
He stared at Chinedu’s still face again.
Tears streamed uncontrollably down his cheeks.
“Forgive me…” he cried softly in pain.
“I didn’t want this…” his voice broke again.
“But I have no choice…” he added weakly.
His heart felt like it was tearing apart.
With shaking hands, he dragged the body forward.
Each pull felt like a knife cutting into his soul.
When he reached the edge, he stopped completely.
His hands froze… his heart refused to move.
“No… I can’t do this…” he whispered.
But fear quickly returned, stronger than before.
“They will b!rn me alive…” he muttered in panic.
“I don’t want to d!!…” he cried.
And with one final push, he let go.
The body dropped into the well below.
THUD… the sound echoed deeply.
Daniel staggered backward in shock.
“It’s over…” he whispered, shaking badly.
But suddenly, a loud disturbing laughter filled the air.
“HEHEHEHEHE!!!” it echoed through the bush.
Daniel froze instantly, his blood running cold.
Slowly, he turned around in fear.
A mad man stood a few meters away.
Dirty, wild hair, eyes wide and terrifying.
Staring directly at him like a ghost.
Daniel’s lips trembled uncontrollably.
“W… who are you…?” he stammered in fear.
The mad man tilted his head strangely.
Then burst into loud, frightening laughter again.
“YOU THREW HIM INSIDE!!!” he screamed loudly.
Daniel’s legs nearly gave way beneath him.
“N… no… I…” he tried to explain.
But fear had already taken over his voice.
Suddenly, the mad man picked up a stick.
And without warning, he charged toward Daniel.
“YOU K!LLED HIM!!!” he shouted wildly.
Daniel screamed and turned to run.
He ran blindly through the bush in terror.
Branches hit his face, thorns tore at his skin.
But he didn’t stop… he couldn’t stop.
The mad man chased after him, screaming and laughing.
“RUN!!! THEY WILL STILL GET YOU!!!” he shouted.
Daniel’s heart pounded violently in his chest.
“I’m finished!” he cried as he ran desperately.
Fear pushed him faster than ever before.
After what felt like forever, he escaped the bush.
He ran straight back into the house without stopping.
He slammed the door shut and locked it quickly.
His body collapsed heavily to the floor.
Sweat covered his entire face and body.
His chest rose and fell uncontrollably.
“I left him…” he whispered in shock.
“I left Chinedu there…”
His hands shook violently as fear consumed him.
“What if someone finds him…?” he panicked.
“What if that mad man talks…?”
His mind spun wildly with terrifying thoughts.
Just as Daniel was in a deep thoughts,a thunderous knock exploded at the gate...

KPOOM! KPOOM! KPOOM!!! the gate shook violently, louder and more aggressive with each hit.
Daniel jolted in fear, his heart dropping immediately as the sound echoed through the compound.
The knocking came again, even harder this time, making dust fall from the gate frame.
Inside the house, panic began as the remaining apprentices woke up in fear.
One apprentice rushed out shouting that someone was at the gate, waking others in confusion.
Oga jumped up immediately, followed by Madam who came out looking tense and alert.
Daniel was already outside in the compound, standing still and trembling uncontrollably.
His face was pale, his breathing unstable, as fear swallowed him completely.
The gate continued shaking violently as whoever was outside kept hitting it without mercy.
Oga moved forward angrily and shouted asking who was there at such a late hour.
Silence answered him for a moment, making the tension in the compound even heavier.
Then another powerful KPOOM! landed on the gate, stronger than before.

EPISODE 17

Mike’s POV

I walked towards the entrance of the building as I keep thinking of Katrina.

“Where could she be??” I thought as I heaved a deep sigh.

I got to the entrance and met those men groaning in pain.

I stared around looking for Adrian.

“Where is Adrian?” I murmured looking around for him.

Suddenly, I saw a guy making some call at a corner.

I walked towards him and turned his face towards me.

“Mike?” He asked

I smiled and heaved a sigh of relief.

“What’s wrong? Where is she?” He asked

“I can’t find her in there,” I said staring at the floor.

“Really? Where could she now be?” He asked

“I don’t know,” I said bitterly.

“Follow me!” He said as he walked back towards the building.

He entered and stared down at the men.

They tried standing up.

Adrian walked up to one of them and held his collar and made him seat on the floor.

“Where is the lady you kidnapped??” He asked holding the man harshly.

The man just stared at him but said nothing.

“I say where is she??” He roared angrily.

I also walked up to another person and began threatening him also.

I sat tiredly on the ground as none of them refused to answer us.

They just stared at us like dummy.

Suddenly, I thought of something.

“Yeah!” I said as I picked up my phone to call Helen.

As I clicked on her number, a call pooped into my phone.

“Gosh! it’s Molly’s teacher,” I spat as I swiped the screen up.

“Hello,” I said to her.
“Please come right now, Molly isn’t okay at all!!” She said terrified.

“Alright, give me few minutes,” I said and hurriedly ran into the car.

“What’s wrong?” Adrian asked following me behind.

I didn’t even say anything.

I just quickly entered into the car and started the engine.

Adrian followed me behind and quickly entered into the car.

I then drove off towards the direction of her school.

Helen’s POV

I drove into the compound of my secret hideout as I sighted a car driving away.

“Whose car is that?” I thought.

It looks kinda familiar to me.

I drafted my attention from it and parked my car in the compound.

I stopped the car and alighted from it.

I opened the back door and she tired stepped out of the car.

I stared at her angrily.

If really she knew how much I hated her, she will be pleading with me.

I will surely make her a living a hell.

We both walked into the building and what I saw was really shocking

I stared around as I saw my men groaning in pain.

They all sat tiredly on the floor.

“What happened to you??

“Who did this to you??” I flared.

They just stared at me without saying anything.

I heaved a sigh

I walked up to one of them and I saw the stain of blood on his shirt.

“Someone is really daring me, if I get to know the person, he/she is gonna regret this,” I spat as I stared at all of them one after the other.

They seem so weak.

It’s like they have fought with someone stronger than them.

Katrina just gently walked away from my side.

“Hey miss, who gave you the permission to move??” I yelled at her.

She stopped and turned to face me.

I can see tears rolling down her cheeks.

She seems really depressed.

“Do you want me to keep standing and watching you and your lazy guards who was beaten??” She flared

I smirked and walked up to her.

“You know what, you are gonna wash all their stained cloths and clean their bruises,” I whispered to her ears and her eyes widened.

“What??”

“Am I their slave??” She flared.

“Yeah!” I uttered and angrily walked out on her.

Mike’s POV

I drove into the school compound and parked my car at the parking lot.

I then removed the keys and alighted from the car.

Adrian followed behind.

I walked straight to her class and there I found her teacher pacing up and down in the classroom.

“Good afternoon ma’am,” I greeted

She stared up and ran towards me.

“Afternoon sir, where is she??” She asked almost out of her breathe.

“Katrina?” I asked

“Yeah, Molly really needs her right now!” She said

“Where is Molly?” I asked her

“She is in the school clinic right now,” her teacher said.

“Take me there, please,” I said

“Alright,” She nodded and ran out of the class.

I and Adrian followed her behind.

“Molly!” I called faintly when we got to the clinic.

She gently opened her eyes and stared at me.

“Brother, where is Aunty Katrina?” She asked as tears rolled down my cheeks.

I heaved a sigh and I touched her cheeks.

I cleaned away her tears as I tried controlling mine.

Why did this have to happen to me??

Why??

Suddenly, a man who looks like the school doctor entered into the ward.

“Hello sir,” He greeted

“Hi,” I said to him

“Are you probably her guardian?” He asked and I nodded.

“Alright, where is the lady she keeps asking of?” He asked furiously.

“She went far away,” I lied

“She went far away??” He asked

“Doctor, please she isn’t here right now, that’s all,” I said trying to curb another question from him.

“Alright,” He nodded.

“Meet me in my office,” He said and turned to go.

“Ok,” I said and stood up.

“I’m coming dear,” I said to her and she nodded.

“Adrian, please watch after her,” I said to him and he also nodded

I then turned and walked out of the ward.

I followed the doctor behind and we both entered into his office.

“Have your seat,” He said gesturing his hands.

“Thank you sir,” I said and sat opposite him.

He cleared his throat.

“Sir, I’m asking you for the third time, where is that lady??” He asked really concerned

I heaved a deep sigh.

“She went out,” I lied

“Well, if you say so, but let me tell you this, if you don’t what anything to happen to your sister, Molly, let her see that lady because it might lead to something dangerous if she doesn’t see her,” The doctor said staring at me.

I heaved a deep sigh.

“What exactly is wrong with Molly? Please tell me doctor,” I said holding his Hands.

He heaved a sigh and stared deep into my eyes.

“Well, it’s not really bad but she had a dream and it’s concerning that lady and when I heard about that dream, it isn’t the type of dream a small kid should be dreaming, it’s so terrible and I think she so much loves that lady and they seem very close and addicted to each other so please, that lady has to be with her always unless…..it…..it might lead to anything dangerous.” He concluded shaking his head.

“What!!”

“Gosh! This is so hard!” I murmured as I bowed my head to the floor.
