4 years ago I started to create my OWN population a series of creatures made from dried flowers. As a creative for TAILORED PEOPLE i get carte blanche to design the windows so i started to expand my population again. On display this month in Laren at my wifes store Tailored People

Your memory behind glass. I hardly press flowers cause I just don’t really like flat pressed flowers, its like you squeeze all life out of them. Framing the arrangement tight is difficult but I just love the outcome so much! ‘PERFECT’ 46 x 56 cm NOT AVAILABLE Commissioned

For those who still have their weddingflowers or any other flowers which are of importance. Drying your bouquet can be done by yourself but i often receive the question afterwards to frame it because they are just catching dust in the end. There is a big advantage of me doing it in the first place just because of my experience… but i do accept ready dried flowers! As long as you are realistic about me not being bring back colors nor manipulate the shape.

Receiving already dried flowers starts with dismantling every flower and check..as you can see this rose is of non use anymore and rotten. If the flowers are hanged within the original arrangement while drying 9 out of 10 mold will take over eventually.

Afterwards dismantling and holding on to the ones which are still usable…I just do what i always do…

Create an everlasting piece for you to remember…but without the mold and the dust!

The drama of a perfect dried calla. The quality of the original flower and its pigment is the biggest influence on the outcome. Whites are always the biggest challenge, flowers with a fleshy stem even more! When receiving your flowers I always tell you which ones will turn out great and which will be a surprise!

I used to be a quite famous dj and I was more nervous to perform for a small audience then for 20.000 people

I am allergic to flowers! I should work with gloves but I take the itching for granted cause I don’t feel connection with my flowers if I wear them.

I use up to 4 different drying techniques for your work!

I am a bachelor in Economics and not a single artistic study or background.

My wife and me are both creatives. We just opened a shop TAILORED PEOPLE she is the most inspiring woman I know
