Oak-framed arched glass doors keep the living room open to the rest of the floor, so the eye travels on rather than stopping at a wall. Beside the marble fireplace, the walnut shelving holds books and sculptural pieces, giving the room the layered feel of a home that has been collected over time.

On the walls, we placed linen wallpaper for extra softness. The herringbone floor and panelled ceiling honour the character of the canal house, while the warm wood tones keep it relaxed and lived in.

The Groundpiece sofa by Flexform anchors the room, with graphic black and white cushions adding contrast against the dark coffee table. The arched glass opening in the background repeats the shape of the arched doors, so the living room, family space and staircase read as one connected whole.

This is a family home, and it shows in the details: a sofa you can really sink into, and the playroom in view of the living room. Refined, but always comfortable.

In this canalhouse kitchen it's all about texture and tone; cool veined marble against dark walnut, soft linen drapery filtering the light, and the gentle sheen of leather on the curved dining chairs. Matte ceramics and natural branches bring an organic touch, while the frosted glass pendant adds a sense of lightness above the table. Each layer has its own texture, yet together they feel calm and grounded.

A study at the back of the house, opening onto the garden.

The bespoke desk runs along the window, while walnut cabinetry lines the opposite wall, its full length topped in marble to form a small pantry. Flowy curtains soften the light. The floors run herringbone, the tap and sconces are finished in dark brass and a black leather Vitra chair stands ready for the hours that need focus.

The palette stays moody and considered, deep grey-blue walls grounded by a warm rust sofa for the family to come together. Brass accents and a cream diamond-patterned rug underfoot, are adding a soft, sculptural note to the space.

A room that turns inward. The fire sits at the centre, set into grey-blue cabinetry that runs floor to ceiling, and everything else stays quiet around it. The navy velvet sofa is where the room softens. The spindle wood frame and patterned pillow stand out against the cool grey-blue.

This is the family room, and it's built for it. Deep seating, warm light, and a fire to gather around on a cozy afternoon.

Walnut is the backbone of this floor, warm and grounded through the dressing room and bedroom.

Wallpaper break up the joinery, brass pulls catch the light, and there's a cane bench tucked into its own little nook. Patterned curtains from Dedar in soft sandy tones bring in texture and warmth alongside the walnut.

The bathrooms are where it gets quiet. Veined marble, black fixtures, a fluted marble bench built right into the shower, and a slim black pendant lamp hanging by the shelves for a bit of contrast.

Sage green joinery meets diamond tile and aged brass in the bathroom, with a slatted oak bespoke column, separating the bathroom without losing a lot of light and keeps this bathroom playful.�The same green carries through to the built-in wardrobes and the marble-topped dresser, keeping the rooms in conversation with one another.

In the bedroom, a papaya tree mural climbs the wall, dusty and warm, closer to art than wallpaper. The styling stays simple around it: a linen lamp shade on a brass stork base, fresh flowers, and an oak nightstand bring practicality in style.
