Herengracht — monumental living 🏛️

Design for a first floor, back side canal apartment in Amsterdam. A canal house living room with rich ornamental plasterwork and an original marble mantel, transformed into a warm, contemporary home.

We honored the building’s original soul — the ornate mouldings, the generous proportions, the natural light — while building a calm, contemporary layer around it.

New flooring and a high end kitchen ties old and new together, while a paper globe pendant and polished glass coffee table bring a soft, modern finish to the room.

The outcome: a monumental space, quietly reborn.

A one-of-a-kind souterrain studio on Herengracht that breathes European coastline warmth.

Calacatta Viola marble, aged copper, and fluted glass detailing rarely seen this far from the coast.

We transformed this blank canvas house into a colorful three bedroom open home. Sightlines stretch from the living room through the dining area and out toward the garden beyond.

“Round and Grounded 🩶🌕”

A statement living room for this Type II Keizersgracht apartment.

Sculptural boucle seating wraps the room in soft curves, grounded by a black fireplace and an antique gilt mirror. A brushed metal archway frames the adjoining space, echoing the room’s rounded language, while overhead an oversized paper-textured pendant glows like a moon suspended above.

Marble accents throughout — from the side tables to the herringbone-framed flooring — bring quiet contrast to the room.

Layers of green for this Type II Keizersgracht apartment’s dining room.

A sculptural glazed-tile dining table in deep emerald sets the tone, paired with matching dark green chairs and soft taupe upholstery for balance.

Brass accents, an organic sculptural pendant, and warm herringbone oak underfoot bring texture, while a bold green artwork ties the palette together into one confident statement.
