New pictures of our design for the new specialty coffee place in Sluisbuurt 'Pina' came in last week. .ams

Located within InHolland Hogeschool in Amsterdam, the interior offers a calm and relaxing environment for people to slow down and connect. The space is an interplay between wooden surfaces, natural daylight and various sitting areas.

The design of draws inspiration from the contemporary Italian trattoria, using a small number of recognisable elements to create an informal and familiar setting. A light box detail introduces a warm glow throughout the space, framing key areas and subtly highlighting the offer. Its nostalgic character recalls the atmosphere of the 1950s trattoria, while remaining simple enough to sit within the contemporary identity of De Pizzabakkers.
A more personal layer is introduced through the use of mirrors, they are used as a subtle communication tool, displaying seasonal menu suggestions, local announcements, or messages from the team.

A visit to the construction site of , where the design is beginning to take physical form.

As the space progresses, the material palette is starting to reveal itself: earthy tones, deep browns and rich reds coming together to create a warm, tactile interior with a strong sense of depth and atmosphere.

More to come as the layers come together.

Earlier this week, we headed to the shipyard to see how the floating hotel is coming along. The structure is taking shape quickly, and it’s great to see the project moving forward.

At the same time, we’ve been spending the past few months fine-tuning the hotel rooms and working on the final look and feel. We’re getting closer and closer to seeing the ideas we’ve been working on come to life.

Here are some impressions from our trip to Guatemala last week. The new rooms of .co are coming along nicely. In addition to the new rooms, we've also designed the masterplan of the entire new extension, including managing the balance between amount of rooms with green-spaces and courtyard.

A little project update from Amsterdam Zuidoost. We’ve been working on the interior design for ’s new permanent home, and construction has been going on for a few weeks now.

It’s always exciting to see a project move from drawings and ideas into an actual space. The new location will be a modern West African restaurant and cultural platform, with a strong connection to the neighbourhood.

The bulk of the work should be finished over the next month, so we’re looking forward to seeing everything come together. More to come!

We recently passed by ’s store on Korte Poten in Den Haag, which has been updated with elements from the franchise’s new interior design concept.

We kept the tiled counter and half-high back wall, as they’re both iconic and practical. They work very well with the new colours and shelving system, giving the space a fresh look while keeping some of its familiar character.

Next week, we are travelling to Antigua to check on the status of the extension of .co .

We always look forward to travelling to Guatemala, immersing ourselves in the colourful environment and neighbourhoods, and collaborating with local companies and craftsmen.

Our design vision for the Ammodo office was to create a representative and functional space that embraces the social aspect of working together. We aimed to seamlessly integrate the character of the monumental Westergas building with contemporary design elements. The office needed to cater to outside guests while providing a conducive environment for employees.

The design concept focused on enhancing collaboration and informal meetings, while maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere. The office was divided into two floors, each with its own unique features and purpose.
