"Mom, what's the wifi password?"

That was the first thing she asked when we arrived. The first few hours were an adjustment. Phones being checked automatically. Kids not knowing what to do with themselves.

But then something happened.

Someone suggested a walk. Another pulled out a deck of cards. Before we knew it, we were sitting outside with tea, watching the sunset. Without photographing it for Instagram.

Nature helps with that. Our vacation homes are always close to forests, water, or dunes.
