And then we made it to the last day of 2024!

A year that flew by. With fantastic high's and terrible low's. But at least many crochet projects!

I wish you a good end of the year and all the best for the coming year. That it may be a creative year full of crochet adventures and following your dreams! ❤

I'm off now to go and ship the last order of 2024 and then make plans for 2025 to chase my dreams!

With another 6 freshly translated patterns in my Etsy I have now surpassed the 40 patterns mark!

This means we are roughly 2/3 done with translating all my old patterns and putting them up on Etsy. I am so happy with this!

Did you know that the plan once they're all translated is to bring my old .com domain back to life? Specifically for my non Dutch customers! To begin with only patterns, but in the future I do hope to also start offering kits and more 🧶

So I'm slowly starting to dream about what this shop is going to look like. Which things from my Dutch shop I'll be taking along and which things might be different 🥰

The Wave basket: Mini Wave's bigger brother

Okay, story time...
We don't have a dryer for our laundry. We airdry everything. It's a space thing in our small apartment. So we have many many pegs for hanging our clothes on the lines. They used to be in a bag and the bag broke. So, as a crafter, what do you do? Exactly! Make a new one!

This is the origin story of basket Wave. I designed this basket in 2021 and I am to this day still using the prototype! So it will absolutely last!

Other things you can keep in this basket are unused charging cables, plastic and reusable bags or unused beanies and gloves.

Yesterday I did something really fun: I attended a market!

Yesterday I once again got the opportunity to display my creations and yarns on a market. I went to my parents the day before because my mom helped out and my parents live a bit closer so we got to stay in bed just a little longer.

Regardless of that it was an early morning with getting all the stuff to the right place and the stand looking all pretty. Of course I came back with ideas to improve it again next time, but for the first time my stand was looking so professional! I was so happy and proud with it!

I'm super happy with how it went and I had an absolute blast all day!
Roll on the next event I can be a vendor at 😁

I let my husband write some of my product descriptions

My husband helps me with the translating of the patterns to English. Because honestly, I never seem to have enough time in a day... He also preps the Etsy listings, and sometimes he writes something in the description. Usually just aimed at making me laugh and not for the world to see. But with the pattern for bag Lina I think he struck gold!

This is what he came up with:
"Hand crafted by the finest artisan known as you, while working under the clear instructions of Cora's Knit Knacks, you will make this great market bag known as Lina. Perfect for collecting your fruits and veggies, bread, eggs and milk*

*Milk must be in a container or the bag and your feet will get slightly messy"

To me, this is so out there, but totally hilarious. When I then combined it with the usual and needed bits about yarns and materials needed I think it turned into a really great and funny description.

Do you prefer a description with some humor or just a functional one?

My fluffy helper!

Meet my cat Zoey! She is absolutely my fluffy helper at times, but also total slave driver (if you have a cat you know what I am talking about) 😂

This, now old, lady has been with us for 12 years already and has seen us go through so many things. From stressing about Brexit and what that would mean for us to us getting married and from job to self employed.

I know what her preference is in all this: both of us at home so she can nag us for play and food whenever it pleases her 😂

Still I wouldn't change it for the world. I love her sassy behavour because it makes it all the sweeter that she will sleep so close to me on the bed that I have no space 😂
