Another happy customer! Koest successfully improved the acoustics of the office of the financial department of .
When the workplace came back to life after the pandemic, the staff started to notice how noisy the room was compared to a quiet home-office. 16 people are continuously making calls and need access to their computer while doing so. Hence, they asked us to study the acoustic properties of the room and provide a solution.
With the help of custom-made desk panels and 60x60 felt panels, we succeeded in reducing the reverberation time to an average of 0.5 seconds. This is well below the recommended 0.8 seconds for office spaces. Before treatment the reverberation time went up to 1.5 seconds.
This is the first time we placed these new panels, and we are really pleased with the results. Get in touch if you would like to receive more information.

You won’t find any glued together MDF in our products, as you do in most other acoustic panels. Instead, you’ll find recovered FSC-certified hardwood (meranti) that’s been giving a third life.

Flashback to our Koest stand during Certosa Initiative at Milan Design Week. In only 3 weeks time we decided to attend the exhibition, and designed and built the booth from scratch.
The installation caught a lot of attention and led to fun conversations with interested people. When standing inside the U shaped feature, visitors experienced a surprising intimate quiet spot within the noisy industrial space.
To provide people with additional information a tablet is mounted in the side from where they can sign up for the brochure. On the back side we printed our brand story alongside a QR code leading to our website.
Finally, the design is demountable, so that we can re-use the framework in future exhibitions.

Our aim with KOEST is to help create spaces that enhance people’s sense of well-being. Acoustically untreated spaces, especially public ones, can feel and look cold, stark and uninviting, a sensory problem easily resolved by a composition of wall panels. We’ve designed our panels to complement all manner of spaces, big or small.

KOEST panels absorb and diffuse sound. Each panel includes 10 sound diffusing wooden strips that, thanks to their raised angled surface, reflect sounds away from the source.
It’s also pleasing to the eye: the strips catch the light at different angles, thereby adding a sense of dynamism to the aesthetic appeal of the feature.

As an inventor, designer and creative marketeer we searched for one that was both aesthetically pleasing and sustainable.
