Vandaag is het de Dag van de BHV! 🧯

Een veilige werkomgeving is niet vanzelfsprekend. Bij een ongeval, brand of ontruiming is het belangrijk dat er collega's zijn die weten wat ze moeten doen en snel kunnen handelen.

Bij Veko nemen onze BHV'ers deze verantwoordelijkheid vrijwillig op zich, naast hun dagelijkse werkzaamheden. Iets wat we zeker niet als vanzelfsprekend beschouwen.

Om hen hiervoor te bedanken, hebben we onze BHV'ers in het zonnetje gezet met een gezellige lunch bij Qnus Schagen, gevolgd door een bezoek aan Brandweer Schagen. Daar kregen we een interessante rondleiding van onze collega Rik, die naast zijn werk bij Veko ook vrijwilliger is bij de brandweer. Een mooie kans om eens achter de schermen te kijken!

Bedankt aan al onze BHV'ers voor jullie inzet en betrokkenheid! 👏

Great lighting starts with great teamwork!

At DC Ridderkerk 2, we installed 3.8 kilometres of LED line lighting in collaboration with Elektrotechnisch Buro Van Keulen.

With good preparation and clear communication, we worked together to ensure a smooth installation from start to finish.

And it's always great to hear that our partners appreciate the collaboration!🤝

“What makes my job enjoyable? The people and the teamwork.” — , Calculator

Angelo has been working at Veko for almost four years. What started as a job alongside his studies quickly turned into a full-time role. “I planned to keep studying, but I liked the work and the atmosphere so much that I decided to fully focus on my job.”

As a Calculator, Angelo’s days are varied. From contact with the costumers and calculations to supporting colleagues across different departments, he enjoys being the link between people and projects. “I like being able to respond quickly and help others move forward.”

What stood out to him from the start was the culture at Veko. “It really feels like a family company. People communicate openly, and don’t hesitate to help each other. That’s what makes a big difference.”

One project that stays with him is a large distribution centre. “Being involved from start to finish and seeing everything come together was something I’m really proud of.”

For Angelo, Veko is about collaboration, trust and enjoying the work together. “In the end, you achieve the best results when everyone works towards the same goal.”

“Seeing a lighting plan come to life is what makes this job special.” — .inhetveld , Sales Engineer

Ramón has been part of Veko for over ten years. After starting as a Calculator, he was promoted to his current role as Sales Engineer nearly 6 years ago. With a background in electrical engineering and years of experience with installers, joining Veko felt like a natural step. “I already knew Veko through their products used in projects. I always thought it was a strong, high-quality solution.”

What stood out to him from the very beginning was the onboarding. “I really felt welcome. In just a few weeks, I experienced production, mounting, service and calculations. That gave me a complete understanding of what we do and how everything connects.”

As a Sales Engineer, no day is the same. Ramón visits project sites, discusses requirements with customers, creates lighting calculations and works out detailed solutions. “The lighting calculation is my favourite part. Especially after visiting a site, you can really visualise how everything fits together.”

One project he’s especially proud of is a large logistics centre. “It was complex, challenging and required precision. Seeing the final result and hearing the customer say it looks perfect, that’s when you know you’ve done it right.”

For Ramón, Veko is about quality, teamwork and atmosphere. “What really makes it special are the people. There’s a strong team spirit, we’re there for each other and we get things done. That’s why I still enjoy going to work every day.”
