Vanwege de extreme gladheid is de winkel vandaag gesloten. We volgen het weerbericht en kijken het aan en zullen laten weten hoe we woensdag zitten, maar dit is niet meer verantwoord 🙈

Like the tulip fields, but you can touch these without people getting mad at you 🤣
It feels like revisiting an old friend, this social media thing. Sorry for being away, it’s been crazy, the shop is overflowing with boxes and boxes of amazing yarns, we’re also doing some light construction work so things have not been photogenic 🤣
We haven’t been away, we’ve been leveling up. More yarns, softer yarns, more colors you name it :)
I’ll have some more pretty pictures soon, for now it’s just these cuties :)

Took my tote to a romantic get away to France :)
Also took husband and kids 🤭
Lord of knitting, no phone, no wifi and lots of outdoor time :)
I really look forward to the new season and some knitting in some colder weather :)
I hope you all had a wonderful summer and enjoyed some lovely off time :)

Because of the times and the political things we have to suspend shipping to the US. On the 29rh of August our courier no longer accepts parcels for the US and we are fresh out of options
When our shipping company resumes their service to the US we’ll adjust as well. We don’t know that the “consequences” are going to be so please bear with us as we navigate this situation

Still life, the yarn edition :)
I’m preparing for winter, this means I knit each child at least 1 sweater before it gets cold. I try to knit them 2 per kid, but it’s getting harder now they’re getting big 😅
So at least one per kid and one pair of winter accessories. Hat, gloves/ mittens, scarf.
The first one is the puffin sweater by .begak. I’m not using lett lopi since my kids won’t wear that (even though I love it very much).
I’m using donegal tweed+ and I love it so much. It’s so tweedy, the blue has specs of orange and it’s really really cool and it matches the orange I’m going to use for the puffin beaks :)
I’m going to make two other ones for my other kids, one in pink because daughter still loves pink, and one in brown. Although by the time I’m ready to start the last one I need to check if kids 3 really wants brown or not 🤣
Anyway, back to knitting :)

One week offline (well, mostly haha), enjoying family time and some knitting in between :)
But worry not, our amazing team at the shop will take care of all your yarn related needs :)
After this week we’ll be tackling the summer/ winter layout and we’ll be getting ready for winter :)
We’re still totally enjoying the summer of course, but planning for winter happens in July 🤣🤷‍♀️

Soooooo I’m at the point in the year where it’s time to finish the winter knits to free up my needles. The winter collection has landed and I’m updating the webshop.
But I’m also knitting swatches and samples and honestly I really want to cast on new stuff. Instead of jumping in, I’ve actually made a few swatches and I’m going to get my queue updated
For now I’m going to finish this pretty little thing. My 5yo will probably get 2 years of wear out of this if I manage to finish it now :)
Winter is always coming and I’ll need to hurry if I’m going to get everything done 🥲
This ‘colder’ weather really boosts my knitting mojo 😂 tell me I’m not alone haha
