Bare Birgitta Jeg lager keramikk med hender og hjerte.

Jeg har en forkjærlighet for å bygge opp hvert enkelt objekt individuelt. Så ingen støpeformer eller masseproduksjon blir gjort. Jeg bruker mest plate teknikk, men også pølse og pinch. Det du mottar er lagret med glede og kjærlighet for yrke og leirens fantastiske egenskaper. Nå fordyper jeg meg i overflatebehandling av forskjellige teknikker som bignet, slikk og forskjellige strukturer, samt glasurer. Det du mottar, er noe ingen andre har.

I’ve always been drawn to places where nature is allowed to soften what time has built.
It’s the harmony of contrasts that keeps drawing me back.
Old stone embraced by wild fig trees.
White architecture and crimson hibiscus.
Sunlight dancing across the sea.
Rough textures, soft light, endless blue.
Every detail is different, yet everything belongs.
I believe beauty lives in the harmony of contrasts.
Today, after a day that asked more of me than I had to give, this is exactly where my shoulders finally softened… and where I found my peace. 🤍

Some spaces become beautiful because of the view. Others because of the details.

This little balcony has slowly become my sanctuary.

A heartfelt thank you to Tanas Ruby/ Lule Rubie for helping me transform it into a small oasis above the Ionian Sea. Their beautiful selection of carefully imported plants has brought so much life, colour, and calm to this space. 🌿🤍

But it’s not only the plants.

The stones I collect along the Albanian coastline have found their place as candle holders—simple reminders that beauty often begins in nature.

Because sometimes it’s the smallest details that help us slow down, breathe a little deeper, and truly feel at home.

Thank you, , for adding even more beauty to this little corner of my world. ✨

I dag feirer vi deg.

Ikke først og fremst fordi du har fått et fantastisk vitnemål.
Ikke fordi du er sterk, flink eller får til det du bestemmer deg for.

Men fordi du er den du er.

Gjennom alle disse årene har jeg sett deg vokse fra den lille gutten med de store, nysgjerrige øynene til den unge mannen du er i dag. Og det som gjør meg aller mest stolt, er ikke hva du oppnår – men hvordan du møter menneskene rundt deg.

Du er hjelpsom.
Omsorgsfull.
Lojal.
Ydmyk.
Morsom.
Og du har et hjerte som er større enn du kanskje selv forstår.

Det finnes et sitat jeg er veldig glad i:

“Vi går ikke på skole for å få karakterer. Vi går på skole for å bygge karakter.”

Og akkurat dét synes jeg beskriver deg så godt.

Ja, jeg er selvfølgelig også utrolig stolt av alt du har oppnådd dette året. Men aller mest er jeg stolt av mennesket du har blitt.

Jeg sa noe til deg her om dagen som jeg håper du aldri glemmer:

Jeg elsker deg selvfølgelig ubetinget – men jeg liker deg også så utrolig godt som menneske.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing the people I dearly care about truly happy.

Gena… it is so good to see you laugh again. Not just smiling for a photo, but smiling from your heart. That kind of joy is impossible to fake, and it lights up everyone around you.

And my beautiful Marius… watching you grow into such a kind, respectful and confident young man fills me with pride. Seeing how much you’re enjoying yourself here makes this holiday even more special.

Salt on our skin, sunshine on our faces, endless laughter and the sea surrounding us…

These are the moments I want to hold on to.

Some places don’t just serve food – they create an experience.

Last night, after a small issue with an earlier order, we were invited back by the owner, Arlind of Filiz Mediterranean Restaurant.

What followed was one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in Saranda.

Fresh seafood, thoughtful details, genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere where every corner feels beautifully designed.

Great restaurants aren’t remembered because nothing ever goes wrong. They’re remembered because of how they make you feel afterwards.

Thank you, Filiz Mediterranean Restaurant and Arlind for turning a small disappointment into such a wonderful evening. Your incredible seafood, beautiful setting, and heartfelt hospitality made it truly unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back.

Instead, the sky gifted us a summer storm.
