Rosehip soup a beautiful Scandinavian tradition yet I don’t think I’ve ever seen it on a menu here? Super tasty, super healthy, and a creative way to use these invasive roses’ rosehips🥀

The sweet/umami of the chanterelle caramel filling works surprisingly well with toasted birch flour & pistachios, tangy chocolate & juniper "bark" frosting, matcha moss, and marzipan mushrooms (The mushrooms inside are real, the mushrooms on top are fake😅)

You should bake one for your favorite forager!💚

Today’s foraging project isn’t food🧼🫧🌿
Snowberries/snøbær (Symphoricarpos albus) look and sound like they’d be a wintergreen dessert, but they contain saponins, which make a soapy foam when mixed with water

Another DM I usually get this time of year: "How do you eat acorns?”🐿️🍂

I use yesterday’s acorn flour recipe in bread, cookies, etc (sparingly😅 it takes soo many nuts to make a little flour) but this korma recipe might be my favorite, most creative way to use it

Korma sauces often have ground almonds or cashews - or you can use acorns! Squirrely curry🧡🐿️

The pants fit, but the age doesn’t😂🤷‍♂️ Still waiting to feel like an adult- Does anyone actually feel their real age? Are we all just going to let mathematics tell us what age we are??😅

When someone asks how old I am, I usually can’t remember😂 I have the medications of an 80 year-old and the fashion sense of a toddler, so I guess it all balances out anyway🤸‍♂️
