🇳🇵 **Dashain, Gurkhas, and the Love of a Good Feast!**

Dashain is one of the most important festivals in Nepal, bringing families together to celebrate with blessings, traditions, and plenty of good food.

For many Nepali households, meat dishes are a big part of the Dashain feast. Goat meat, in particular, is a festive favourite, and the celebrations often mean enjoying delicious non-vegetarian meals throughout the festival!

So, when a Gurkha hears the word *“menu”* during Dashain, you can probably guess what he’s hoping to see. Vegetables? Not today, please!

For generations, the Gurkhas have been more than soldiers. They have represented courage, discipline, loyalty, and a proud tradition that continues to inspire young people in Nepal.

Perhaps today he is only watching them march.
