Today is the last day to subscribe for the June Paper Pumpkin kit, Bikes & Blooms.

I've enjoyed creating with the first two Paper Pumpkin kits available in New Zealand. One of the things I like is that you can make the projects exactly as designed for a quick and easy crafting experience, or use the kit elements as a starting point and add your own creative touch.

The June kit features bicycles, florals, silver foil accents, and coordinating embellishments, with everything you need included in the box.

Simply open the kit and start creating. No measuring, no planning, and no wondering what supplies you need.

If you've been thinking about giving Paper Pumpkin a try, this could be the perfect month to start.

Have you ever wondered what Paper Pumpkin is all about?

The May Sparkling Celebrations kit included everything needed to create nine cards, complete with stamps, an ink spot, embellishments, card bases, and envelopes.

You can make the cards exactly as designed, or use them as a starting point for your own ideas. These photos show some of the original projects alongside a few alternative cards I created using the kit.

One of the things I enjoy about Paper Pumpkin is that it can be as simple or as creative as you would like. Follow the instructions and enjoy a relaxing crafting session, or add a few extra supplies and create something completely different.

You can see more photos and read about the kit in my latest blog post:

Although the Sparkling Celebrations kit is no longer available, you can still subscribe for the June Bikes & Blooms Paper Pumpkin kit. Be sure to subscribe by Wednesday 10th June if you would like to receive it.

Do you sometimes feel like your cards need just a little something extra?

These three cards all started with the same Sunset Coast stamped image and the same colour combination of Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight and Daffodil Delight.

For two of the cards, I added a small amount of blending around the edges using a blending brush. It's a simple technique, but it helps soften the white space and draw your eye towards the focal image.

I also changed a few other details, such as adding birds and using different sentiments. It's a good reminder that you don't need lots of supplies to create different looks. Sometimes a few small changes are all it takes.

Have you tried blending around the edges of your cards? I'd love to hear your favourite colour combination for creating skies or seaside scenes.

The same stamps.
The same technique.
The same layout.

Just different colours.

It's amazing how much a colour change can alter the feel of a card.
One feels soft and fresh.
One feels warm and cheerful.

If you were sending one of these cards to a friend, which would you choose?

Did you miss this week's Facebook and YouTube live?

I shared these quick and simple cards using the Sunset Coast stamp set. What I love about this design is how easy it is to change the look with just a few small adjustments.

The cards all use the same main image, but adding birds, changing the sentiment, or doing a little sponging creates a slightly different look.

I've put together a blog post with more photos, measurements, supplies, and the replay if you'd like to see how they came together.

You can read the blog post and watch the recording here:

I'd love to know which version is your favourite.

Do you struggle to come up with ideas for masculine cards?

In this week's Facebook and YouTube Live, I shared how to create this quick and simple card using the Sunset Coast Stamp Set from the Scenic Coast Suite. This versatile design works beautifully for masculine cards, birthdays, thinking of you cards, retirement cards, anniversaries, and more.

During the live, I demonstrated how to build a sunset scene using just a few stamps and simple techniques. I also shared several variations using blending, different cardstock colours, and added bird images to show how easily you can customise the design.

This card was inspired by a project created by Mo Rootes of Crafty Rootes. I really liked the colour combination she used with the Sunset Coast Stamp Set, so I used that as my starting point. I then adapted the design by creating it on a note card, adding a cardstock mat, incorporating some ink blending, and finishing the scene with birds.

I also showcased some Double Vision cards featuring the Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper and shared a closer look at other products in the suite.
