Because its a while since I drew/painted portraits I'm currently testing myself with regards to skin tones and this time I decided to draw an African American child. Here is the result and I think I'm happy with the result. Isn't she gorgeous! Now then, what can I try next?

Now this one was a bit of a challenge ending in a bit of surprise for me when I asked what breed it was. It is a Shar pei I was told which surprised me as looking them up online they have heaps of wrinkles but this one didn't seem to have many if any! Anyhow, maybe it had something to do with being photographed in low light. Oh yes, and his name is Nitro.

Another commission completed. First time for two portraits on one page but I did enjoy doing them. They are Roxy and Tiger, not sure which one is which at this stage, but they are both beautiful. This is a birthday present so fingers crossed they will like it.
