Maimeri Classico Oil Paints are a versatile oil with an amazing quality to price ratio!

Maimeri began in Italy over 100 years ago, by two brothers: Gianni (the artist) and Carlo (the one with the chemical knowledge and know how.)

There are no waxes or additives used in these oils and the drying time is balanced with the use of safe and stable pigments.

There are 40 colours available in the 60ml sized tube, and the large 200ml tube comes in 19 colours.

My pick?
It would have to be 20% OFF Van Gogh Watercolour Paints.

I love this range- it is affordable and a really good "three-quarter-level" quality, making it ideal for dabbling and playing without the stress of wasting paint, but still getting clean colours when mixing and a great pigment load for vibrant and strong colours.

You can buy 10ml tubes and half pans individually, or opt for one of the great Van Gogh Pan sets.

All the way from The Netherlands, Van Gogh is a brand of watercolour paints that are well worth trying!

Eastside Gallery | Open Call to Canterbury Artists

The Eastside Gallery is committed to the development of local artists through their exhibition programme.

Currently, they have a call for entries to “Good Trouble”

GOOD TROUBLE:
Coined during the Civil Rights era and echoed through the Black Lives Matter movement, the call to “make good trouble” originated as a rallying cry for the kind of resistance that sparks transformation. It’s a phrase charged with urgency, imagination, and the belief that disruption can be a force for good.

This exhibition expands the frame – inviting artists to interpret what good trouble means to them. We welcome the mischievous, the cathartic, the speculative and the radical. Stir gently or shake hard.

Register by: 2nd September 2026
