Taking a moment to close out for 2025 and realised I never posted one of my favourite photos from this lovely little kitchen. A moment of calm. As much as I focus on keeping things aesthetically beautiful they still always need to be functional. A place for everything and everything in its place.

Another angle of my Hamilton Ave project. We designed this table to be exactly the same size as the kitchen island helping to elongate the space. Although it looks it, it’s actually not permanently fixed to anything. Handy to pull out for those odd occasions where you need that extra seat. We chose to waterfall the stone down that one side. The veining of the stone being the perfect backdrop to the warmth of the timber.

Hamilton Ave. A complete re-work for these lovely clients. For a small space it was not without its challenges and throughout it all they remained positive and smiling! Although we couldn’t remove the pole altogether (well not without the roof falling down 😂) we did manage to shift it to allow for better alignment. The tiles were lifted and a new floor put in its place. A restrained palette of white, soft greys and warm timber resulted in a space that now feels so much lighter, brighter and warmer.

A huge thanks to all involved in this project. It wouldn’t be possible without you all.

Details from my Clyde Rd project. This range hood…so simple yet one of my favourite features of the kitchen. We chose to paint it in Cardrona to blend seamlessly with the wall. It’s strong lines creating enough of a presence all on its own.

We chose to use the beautiful slab of Jaj in the areas that were going to really make it shine. So happy with how this little area turned out. Taj in all its glory!

Introducing Clyde Rd.
A considered renovation of a traditional style home. Featuring a material palette of framed cabinetry in warm whites and greige, honey coloured timbers, natural quartzite and beautiful lighting and handles.

The original kitchen was isolated from the rest of the home and lacked storage, bench space and connection to the rest of the home. With some careful spatial planing we were able to close off one of the numerous entry points into the kitchen and also open up the wall separating the kitchen from the rest of the living spaces. This allowed us to totally flip the orientation of the island and get in some much needed storage.

Swipe 👉 for the before pic. Quite hard to capture because of that pesky wall.
