House on the Hill Design Company Welcome to House On The Hill Design Company, Christchurch, New Zealand. Hi, I'm Jackie.

I have a passion for beautiful colours and design, especially French country, Scandinavian and all things aged and vintage. Over the last 20 years, I have taught decorative painting and developed a unique range of handcrafted wooden items and a selection of quilting patterns. The designs are simple and easy to make from rustic country to European inspired stitcheries and houses. I especially enjo

y working with natural linens and old laces and mixing them with painted wood, trims, old photos and postcards etc. I also teach painting classes from my home with small friendly groups and offer a colour consultation service and interior design service (see my Colours by House On The Hill page for inspiration)

Oh my goodness, that was an amazing weekend at Encraftment. I saw so many familiar faces and met the most lovely people.
It’s so much more than selling things, your support means so much and I love catching up with you all.
It’s also nice to see that in a world of cheap imports (which have their place 🤣) that people do value hand crafted creations and treasure them. I’m always happy to come up with a specific idea or little house you might be imagining, just let me know 🥰
