Twenty years ago, The Fabric of Society began as a dream operating from a converted sleepout in Rangiora. From there we moved into our first retail shop in The Gables Arcade, then to the iconic Southbrook Hall, experienced a name change along the way, and finally made the exciting move to our beautiful Sydenham home in Christchurch just one year ago. Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come. There have been plenty of challenges, countless milestones, and so much laughter shared along the way.
I have been incredibly fortunate to work alongside the most amazing team. Past and present, I couldn’t have asked for better staff. Their loyalty, friendship, hard work and unwavering support have helped shape The Fabric of Society into what it is today, and I am grateful to every one of them.
To my family and friends, thank you for always being there through the highs and the lows. Your encouragement, belief and willingness to lend a hand whenever it was needed have meant more than you’ll ever know. I simply wouldn’t be where I am today without you.
And finally, to you - our wonderful customers. Thank you for your loyalty, your kindness and for choosing to support The Fabric of Society over the past twenty years. Every purchase you make with a small, independent business like ours helps keep local businesses alive and thriving. You are the reason we continue to do what we love every day.
So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Thank you for being part of our journey, for celebrating this milestone with us, and for helping write the next chapter of The Fabric of Society. Here’s to twenty wonderful years - and many more to come.
With heartfelt thanks,
