As a self employed creative character, there are so many benefits, but also those very tricky downside. The fateful day of injuring yourself!!
Unfortunately I had emergency reconstructive surgery on my right index finger, after severing all the tendons. The most important finger and tool in my creative toolbox. ACC have declined to financially help, and as a last resort, I contacted Winz, but after 4 weeks being off work with no income, they are on the fence about being able to help me. Needless to say it’s been overwhelmingly stressful.
It’s always tricky to ask for help, but here I am, asking for your help, please.
I’m unable to make/create for at least 12 weeks, depending on how the rehabilitation goes.
