MAMIE & CO - Family Owned & Operated

I was born with an eye for interiors – a love of sumptuous fabrics and warm, wonderful colour palettes. My mother was, and still is, a superb curtain-maker and I’ve followed in her footsteps – guiding others to create their own unique and exquisite style in their homes. Over the years I’ve designed interiors for boutique hotels alongside timeless design for some of Hawke’s Bay’s most gracious homes and I’ve been at the forefront of the home staging industry. Come and visit us at our showroom, located between Havelock North and Napier to get a first-hand feel for our designer fabrics and fine homewares, including Bianca Lorenne bedding, to complement your style. Deal with the owner operator every time- we believe the decision maker in your business should be dealing with the decision maker in ours! Or we can come to you – contact me to book your in-home consultation. Your home is your biggest asset – give it the style it deserves...

This week in our collection of unofficial staging assistants, meet Ralph.

Quality Control Manager.

Very thorough and bounding around to test the comfort of the staging furniture.

He mostly checked this cushions and this couch.

This has been in the works for some time and is something that's a little different.

A collaborative effort between us at Smoke N Mirrors, Mamie & Co. and Aaron Dodd Homes.

We did the staging, and the soft furnishings.

It's not just about putting furniture in a room and hoping for the best.
It's about getting things right and making everything work together
(plus a few questionable ideas about TVs and their placement)

We think it came together rather nicely.

Staging can truly transform how a house is presented to potential buyers.
Are we biased?
Absolutely.
We make a living making houses look good.

But we've also seen the difference between a beautifully presented home versus a house buyers have to mentally furnish themselves.

Say hello to Donné 👋

Interior Enthusiast. Ceramic Dabbler. Graphic Designer. Visual Art Teacher.
A bit of a creative Swiss Army knife, basically.

Donné joins us with a degree in textile design and a varied background across interiors, graphic design and teaching which means she brings a lot of creative thinking to the table.

And, fortunately for us she's agreed to use it here.
