Annabelle's is a fresh new homeware
and textile store, opening both it's first flagship store and online shop in early September. The flagship will be opening in Havelock North, Hawke's Bay, which is the home of ANNABELLE’S founder and namesake, Annabelle Plowman. Annabelle's was founded at the beginning of 2016. After spending three years living in Europe and accompanying her mother on buying trips around the world for her two businesses, Bellaquartz Jewellery and Nicki Plowman Resort Wear, Annabelle was inspired to follow in her mother's footsteps. These buying trips allowed Annabelle to make connections with suppliers all over Asia, India and the Middle East, providing
the solid platform from which Annabelle’s was built. The business is reflective of Annabelle's
own personal style; a combination of bohemian, luxe, ethnic and contemporary. With everything from furniture, to textiles, lighting and decor, Annabelle's offers their customers a range of unique homewares and textiles sourced from around the globe.

Some exciting news… Annabelle’s is now offering wholesale 🌸

Every piece is chosen by me, from the fabrics to the silhouettes and styles, so you won’t find it anywhere else. Each collection is made with the artisans we work with in Jaipur, many of whom specialise in hand block printing. We only use natural fabrics, and everything is 100% cotton.

We’d love to see our clothing, sleepwear and accessories on the shelves of like-minded boutiques, gift stores and concept shops.

Our new summer sleepwear is on its way, cotton block print PJs in long and short sets, plus kimonos and nighties in lots of fun prints for summer!

I’m not one to follow BIG trends, but I couldn’t resist a few polka dots 🩷 There’s also a fun lobster print 🦞, orange and pink stripes, and a stripe-and-palm in blue and green that’s giving colonial 🌴

I will get them photographed and online as soon as they arrive. Hope you like what you see 👀

Annabelle’s 2.0 🌸

As Annabelle’s moves in a new direction, it felt like the right time for the branding to evolve with it.

I wanted something a little softer, more personal, and unique to this next chapter. Both the flower and the Annabelle’s lettering have been hand drawn, which felt especially fitting alongside the beautiful handmade fabrics I’m working with in India.

Hello! It’s been nearly three months since I closed the shop. I don’t feel any less busy (a baby and a 3 year old will do that!), but it’s been nice to clear my head and think about this new chapter for Annabelle’s.

I’ve just returned from two weeks in Jaipur. Crazy to think it had been 1.5 years since my last visit. Time really does fly! 🌸

Lots of fabric sourcing, sampling, placing orders, undisturbed sleep 💤, sunshine, good food and my favourite guest house.

This trip felt different. Before, I bought everything I loved because I had a store to fill. Now I’m building a wholesale and online collection, which meant slower, more considered decisions. Exciting and a little scary!

Baby holders, baby feeders, retail superstars, shop rearrangers, and sofa-chat enthusiasts… basically superheroes in disguise 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♀️

Seven years together. And what a way to finish.

These two have been rushed off their feet every single day making sure we went out with a bang and nothing was left behind….and as you can see literally nothing was left behind!

Thank you both from the bottom of my heart for a wonderful 7 years together 💓
