A fun little project today, turning two rarely-worn merch t-shirts into a more useful tote bag! The bag is lined with the backs of the t-shirts, and has cotton handles.

"New skill unlocked", as they say! This was my first time doing a knitted repair on some pretty large holes. Usually I darn holes with embroidery or invisibly, however some holes are just too big and require a better mend with a knit picker that will stop the wool from running in the future.
A customer brought me this beautiful 100% wool jumper that they'd bought in Iceland. Unfortunately, their cat had given it a good going over with her teeth in the wardrobe... 🐈
I'm very pleased that I was able to restore it pretty much to its former glory, just in time for Autumn in a month or two.

We do replacement zips, did ya know? This is probably the second most common alteration I get asked to do, after shortening trousers.

I charge $24, plus the cost of the zip for trousers like these.

A lovely client came to me with a bridesmaid dress that she'd bought that was supposed to be custom fit!! Needless to say, she was very upset when it arrived looking like the top two images.

By bringing up the bodice from the shoulders, removing the sleeves, recutting the armholes, resetting the sleeves and taking out some bulk in the princess seams (as well as taking about 8 inches off the hem!) I was able to dramatically improve it!

Please get in touch for any alterations, no matter how small.
