QUICK TUBER CLARIFICATION 🌸

Because apparently in my attempt to make things more transparent, I may have accidentally made things more confusing. Classic. 🫠😂

This year I listed tubers as either clumps or singles, so you knew exactly what you were ordering.

I’ve always hated the idea of someone paying full price for one lonely little chicken-leg tuber 😂 so any single tubers were clearly labelled as singles and priced cheaper.

A clump is what we would usually send out - anything with two or more tubers attached. On the left of the photo shows a few examples of clumps. They can all look quite different, but if there are two or more tubers, she’s a clump. 🌸

On the right is an example of a single tuber.

This was included in the product descriptions on the website, but I know tuber sale night is basically a competitive sport and nobody has time for light reading when they’re trying to secure their dahlias 🤣 So hopefully this photo makes it a bit clearer.

And in much more exciting news…

WE’RE DOWN TO THE LAST 100 ORDERS! 🥳

The end is in sight. Frizzles and I may yet survive.

Stay feral. 🖤

‼️Attention tuber purchasers.

A few things from this feral …

Tuber orders started heading out the door late last week. I’ve had some emails that made me day 🤣 “Dear Feral, I am wild about your tubers…”. I honestly have the best customers.

Anyway… few things…

🖤I am one person and I am working day and night, as fast as I can to recheck and package tubers and get them off to their new homes. I understand the excitement to get your order so thank you for your patience. I had hundreds of orders, so it takes a while to get through. I expect to have them all out by the end of the week.

🖤This year you had the option to get a clump or a single tuber at a discounted price. Single tubers come in all shapes and sizes. I’d love to give you all big fat tubers but the reality is, every variety has its own tuber style. Kona tubers are loooooooooong … some wont even fit in the box long. Daisy duke produces short skinny tubers. Moor place tubers are tiny but fat. So they are all different. The thing to note though… no matter the size, they will all have an eye. Some I have circled in vivid as they are hiding.

🖤As mentioned, a lot of people chose incorrect shipping. I have sent links to pay the excess shipping charges (be it rural delivery or more than 3 tubers as per the shipping options), but I still have a large number unpaid. If left for too long, your order may be cancelled, and no one wants that! If you know you made a mistake with shipping, but haven’t had an email, it’s still coming as I work through the list. A few have asked about the extra charge with number of tubers. 1-3 tubers are sent in a bag. Anything over that is either a bigger bag or a box and NZ Post charge more for those, hence the cost difference.

🖤Finally, after the end of the week, I will do a count up and send out a newsletter to let you know when the remaining tubers will be online. There will be some varieties that weren’t in the first sale too 🥳

Thank you all so much for your support and patience and messages and emails about the quality of our feral tubers 😍 Because of you, the cutest sheep in the world will be coming to a Feral Flower Farm near you!

Stay feral 🖤

Guys!!! I have spent days… DAYS I tell you. Trying to work out how to turn off the stupid automated message you get when you follow this page. 😑 I’ve clicked every button, tried to “ask for help” but even dumb chat bot can’t help me (seriously, where are the actual real people to help?!). Anyway… hands up who got that “Hi! Anything we can help with” message 🙄 and hands up who the heck knows how to get rid of it forever 🫠 I never even set it up. I have only recently learned about it from y’all replying back 😂

On a more positive note … tuber orders started heading out yesterday and I’m now into the orders placed at 7.02 🫣😂 it’s a long process. Hopefully by end of next week, you will all have your goodies and I can count up for the second sale 🥳

ATTENTION TUBER ORDERERS ‼️

Admin Manager Frizzles has asked me to address a small administrative issue.

Despite my pleading the other day to please choose the correct shipping option… approximately 90% of you went absolutely rogue. 🤣

To be fair, I get it. Tuber sale night is a mad rush and apparently reading shipping options ranks somewhere below SECURE THE DAHLIAS 🤣🤣

So! If you selected the wrong shipping at checkout, you’ll receive a link from me to pay the difference once I get to your order.

Please keep an eye on your inbox AND spam folder. If it’s left unpaid for too long, unfortunately your order may have to be cancelled. Which opens a whole other administrative can of worms for Frizzles.

She’s already under considerable pressure. She has no opposable thumbs. Please don’t make her job harder. 🐔

Stay feral. 🖤🌸

Delivering packages yesterday… I had a little chuckle to myself. We have really professionalised the operation.

Last year: product in brown paper bags, names handwritten (and not even carefully) in Sharpie.

This year: respirator. Custom packaging. Branded distribution.

Quality control has improved.
My lungs have improved from all the tuber dust. 🤣 Presentation has improved. Mine has not. 🫣😂
The product remains highly addictive.

I am the one who grows.

Feral Flower Farm.
Los Dahlias Hermanos. 🌸

No blue stuff here. Just excellent tubers.

Stay feral. 🖤

WHAT A SIGHT 😍

My new Feral workspace has officially landed….🛸👽No longer dangling like a feral UFO 🤣

After years of making bouquets in dark, slightly questionable, rat-frequented, garages… or outside in the wind and rain … she is here 😍 LOOK AT HER. 🥹

An actual dedicated workspace. For flowers. For me. With LIGHT. And hopefully no farm rats. 😂

Bouquet making just levelled up 😎

Huge thank you to Lichfield Lifestyle Sheds ! I LOVE her 😍
