Beautiful afternoon spent out in the garden. Finally got round to throwing a few dahlias in the ground. Only 40 fitted in this garden, so many were sprouting in the crate!

I’ve been busy planting our seedlings in the ground, weeding and spraying.

Sadly it’s looking like ranunculus season is coming to an end! Been so lovely having them in our bouquets, the bells are looking so lush and the snaps are coming to a head now.

This little flower farm sure is pumping and we cannot wait to share the blooms with you x

I have had a few messages in regard to anymore dahlias for sale and while we are sold out for this season my friend Esther over at Larks Meadow Flowers has got the goods!

The market day is close to Matamata but please follow her or my bestie from Bloom and Ray Flower Farm-Reagan. She will also be there selling her gorgeous blooms, specialty seed packets and seedlings! Sounds like a garden lovers dream!

“Want to grow your own gorgeous buckets of dahlias this summer? Our premium dahlia tubers will be for sale at the MAKER BAKER GROWER Market Day hosted by Nourished by Trio on Sunday, November 1. It’s the perfect time to plant them - you could even pop them in the ground the same day as purchase and have flowers in late December 💖.

All our dahlias are grown by our wee family here on our little slice of paradise near Arapuni Village, South Waikato. We have a range of colours, shapes and forms - so there is something for everyone 🤩

We will release our full list and pricing closer to the event so follow us for updates.”

Growing Spring flowers this year for a change has been an exciting experience. The ranunculus has been a high needs girl with all the spraying but have been rewarded with the most gorgeous blooms.

Already looking at what different varieties I can get next season ✨ I think the lemon sorbet has been my favourite!

✨✨Dahlia sale this Sunday✨✨

Couple things to note for our sale this Sunday 10am-12pm.

Cash preferred, bank transfer an option. No eftpos available.

Limit one variety per person. This is to ensure everyone that attends gets a fair go at getting what they want.

Parking will be on the road and you will have to walk up our driveway. Possibly showers during the day so might pay to bring an umbrella if you want to look around the garden.

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday x

Dahlia tuber sale from us at Two Girls Farm.

We have decided to do three out of four of the options!

Most important to our small business is our locals who support us with flower sales and other events.

✨We will host an in person sale at our farm. Sunday 27th September 10am-12pm. All of our dahlias will be available here and mixed bags. You can wander around our gardens and check out what we have growing.
At 11am we will have a demonstration for planting your tubers. Happy to answer any questions about dahlias and other gardening topics.

✨The farm stand will have dahlia mixed bags for purchase and these will be stocked there on that Sunday morning. I will not put individually labelled tubers in the farm stand only mixed bags will be available here.

✨After the sale on Monday 28th September I will list the dahlias that I still have available for postage and get these out to those of you that do not wish to attend the farm sale or live too far away 🤍

We apologise to those of you who missed out on your top choice of visiting this weekend.

I will release a list of all the individual dahlias I have for sale on Sunday night for you to look over x
