We had the absolute privilege of hosting a Pounamu Wananga over the weekend here at Whistle & Bloom.

What an incredible day and what an amazing group of young people... they all should be very proud of themselves!

We had a awesome group of people, had a good laugh, had a delicious lunch and learnt a new skill along the way... and all for a good cause.

Helping out the youth will always be high on our priority list.

We will be hosting another one so keep an eye on our page and we hope to see you there Whanau!.

We still have a couple of spaces left if you're looking for something fun to do tomorrow... and the weather man is telling me we are in for a beautiful day!!

🌿✨ Something very special is coming to Whistle & Bloom... ✨🌿

We're incredibly excited to be hosting a Pounamu Wānanga here in our barn – a beautiful day of creativity, culture, connection, and whānau.

This inspiring workshop is being run by rangatahi, for rangatahi, with all proceeds helping to support youth fundraising initiatives. 💚

During the wānanga you'll:
💚 Learn about the significance and story of pounamu.
💚 Design and create your own genuine pounamu pendant.
💚 Take your finished taonga home with you on the day.
💚 Share in a delicious kai with everyone.

🎄 Looking for a meaningful Christmas gift?
Create something truly personal for someone you love, or make a special taonga to treasure yourself for years to come.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This is a family-friendly event!
Our farm has plenty of room for children to run, play and enjoy the outdoors while adults take part in the workshop. Bring the whānau and make a day of it (no dogs please).

🧭 9am - 4pm
📍 Location: Whistle & Bloom, Maungatapere
💲 Cost: $100 per person (includes your genuine pounamu, workshop, and kai)

Places are limited to ensure everyone gets the full experience x

This is an incredible opportunity to experience Māori culture, support an amazing youth initiative, and leave with something that will hold meaning for a lifetime.

Our amazing friends up the road are opening up their Farm for your enjoyment!!

This is a great place to take your kids to see a wide variety of animals and poultry... they even have Emus and an Ostrich named Louie!!

🥑🥑 AVOCADOS FOR A DONATION – PRESLEY’S VIETNAM FUNDRAISER! 🇻🇳✈️

We have loads of perfectly good eating avocados coming off our trees at the moment! They may not be pretty enough for the packhouse because of marks or damage to the skin, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the goodness inside. 🥑💚

So rather than let them go to waste, we’re putting them to good use and helping Presley raise funds for her school trip to Vietnam!
