Hosting season is nearly here 🌿

Christmas lunches, summer get togethers, family coming to stay and extra chairs being pulled up around the table.

I love how a beautiful tablecloth can make even a simple meal feel a little more special, without needing to create a perfectly styled table.

Our French flax linen tablecloths are designed here in New Zealand, with beautiful botanical prints made for relaxed tables and plenty of gathering around them.

Will you be hosting this Christmas, or happily letting someone else do it this year? 😊

Wild Blooms, now in European pillowcases 🌿

I’ve been wanting to add European pillowcases to Wild Blooms for a while, and I’m so pleased to finally have them here.

I love the larger square size layered behind your sleeping pillows, especially when you want to bring a little more pattern into the room.

Wild Blooms is now available in Standard, King and European pillowcase pairs.

I love mixing these two prints, would you keep things a little simpler?

You can keep them matching or mix your patterns, a lovely way to bring together two of your favourite Aspen & Fern designs.

There’s no discount code to remember. Add an eligible full priced duvet cover and pillowcase pair to your cart and the $40 saving will be applied automatically at checkout.

We absolutely loved receiving this review from Earlene 💛

She’s been sleeping in her Buttercups linen sheets and has found them so comfortable and cool and apparently her husband loves them too!

Breathability is one of the things we love about sleeping in pure linen, so it’s always lovely to hear how our customers are finding it in their own homes.

And Earlene’s comment about her other sheets now being redundant did make us smile!

Thank you for such a wonderful review Earlene. 💛

If you’ve ever gone looking for linen bedding and found yourself wondering what French flax, GSM or OEKO-TEX® actually mean, you’re probably not alone.

There’s quite a bit of terminology used around linen, but some details are more useful than others when you’re trying to understand what you’re actually buying.

I’ve pulled together four things worth checking, fibre composition, fabric weight, independent certification and how the linen has been finished.

Swipe through for the quick version.

I’ve also written a more detailed Pure Linen Bedding Buyer’s Guide, including flax origin, why GSM is more useful than thread count for linen and what you can expect from pure linen as it softens with washing and use.

I’ll pop the link to the full guide in the comments if you’d like to read more. 🌿

A quick update on our Buttercups collection 🌾

Our Buttercups French flax linen fitted sheets are nearly sold out, with just a few Queen pieces remaining in stock.

Because we work with small batch production, our next delivery of this print won't arrive for at least another six months. If you've been waiting to complete your bedding set with this golden bloom design, now is the time to make it yours.

You can shop Queen fitted sheets here: https://www.aspenandfern.co.nz/collections/buttercups-fitted-linen-sheet

Blossom Blush has grown 🌸

We’ve had the pillowcases in our collection for a while, and now this much loved floral is making its way across the whole bed with the addition of French flax linen duvet covers.

Blossom Blush is full of soft, painterly florals in blush, coral and rose, colourful and feminine, but still beautifully easy to live with.

Queen & King duvet covers are available to pre-order now, with orders expected to dispatch in early October.

Made from 100% French flax linen, OEKO-TEX® certified and designed here in New Zealand.

You can pre-order Blossom Blush now on our website. 🌸https://www.aspenandfern.co.nz/collections/blossom-blush-linen-duvet-cover

A little more Secret Garden is on the way 🌿

European pillowcases are joining the collection with our next delivery, and I’m really looking forward to seeing them layered on the bed with the rest of the Secret Garden range.

Pre-orders officially open this Thursday. If you’re on our email list, keep an eye on your inbox as you’ll have first access before we open them to everyone else.

Another little addition to a print we love. 🤍
