When buying roller blinds, it’s not just about picking something that “looks nice”—a few practical choices will make a huge difference in how well they work in your space. Here are the key things to think about:

1. Light control & privacy (most important)

Start with what you actually need them to do:
Blackout blinds → block almost all light (great for bedrooms)
Sunscreen/light-filtering → reduce glare but still let light in
Different fabrics give very different results for comfort and privacy.

2. Measurements & fit

This is where people mess up most!
Measure width and height in multiple spots (windows aren’t perfectly square)
Decide between:
Inside mount (recess fit) → cleaner look
Outside mount (face fit) → better light blocking
Getting this wrong can lead to gaps or blinds that don’t fit at all.

3. Fabric & material

Think about durability and purpose:
