For Tash and Rob’s Mount Maunganui renovation, our Batten 10 Walnut was carefully wrapped under the kitchen island, bringing warmth and texture to the heart of the home.

The rich walnut tones create a beautiful contrast against the light stone benchtop, while the fine batten profile adds depth and rhythm from every angle. It’s a reminder that thoughtful material choices can transform everyday spaces into something truly special.

• One of the things we love most about our raw veneer panels is the ability to customise the finish to suit your space.

Whether you’re matching existing cabinetry, tying in with timber flooring, or creating a completely unique look, our raw veneer panels can be coated to achieve a wide range of finishes.

In this reel, we’ve applied three different .nz finishes to our Ripple 150 Black Walnut panels (all with two coats applied):

• Terra 3073
• Amber 3072
• Matt 3062

Same panel. Same timber. Three completely different looks.

This is why we often recommend ordering samples and testing finishes alongside your other interior materials before making a final decision.

• Not every installation is the same and sometimes front fixing is the best solution.

In this video, we’ve used 18ga nails to front-fix our Ripple 150 Oak veneer panel. While around 90% of installations can be completed using adhesive and concealed side fixing, there are occasions where face fixing is required. For an even more discreet finish, 21ga nails are an excellent option.

Once installed, the nail holes were concealed using a furniture wax crayon. A simple but important step:

• Apply your chosen coating before filling nail holes to ensure the best colour match.

• Rub the furniture crayon over the nail hole.

• Wipe away any excess with a magic sponge.

• Enjoy a seamless finish.

It’s a small detail that makes a big difference and one we highly recommend for achieving a beautiful end result.
