Come along as we get ready for our last Dahlia Workshop of the year 🌸

We’ve absolutely loved running these workshops. Thank you so much to everyone who came along, talked dahlias with us, dug in the dirt and went home with new plants to grow.

I can’t wait to do it all again next year.

Although now you’ve got us thinking about summer… maybe we could do a workshop where you pick and arrange your own dahlia bouquet? 👀🌸

Would you come along?

We sold an incredible 660 daffodils, raising $330 for the Cancer Society.

I used to think I had to dig up my dahlia tubers every year. But the more I garden, the more I realise I don’t have time for rules 😂

If your soil is well drained, your dahlias are happy and they overwinter successfully, you don’t need to lift them every year.

You can leave them in the ground and save yourself a whole lot of work.

No digging.
No washing.
No drying.
No storing.
No replanting.

Some gardeners lift their dahlias every year. Some leave them for several years. Both options work.

Stop gardening by rules. Start gardening by observation.

🌸 Want to learn more about growing dahlias?

We’ve got more Dahlia Growing Workshops coming up at Gina’s Garden, where we’ll share everything we’ve learned about growing dahlias in Nelson and Tasman.

Bookings for September are open on our website. 🌱
