My passion has altered over the years and now seems to be concentrated on succulents, euphorbias, plants that grow a caudex (including ceropegia), dischidia, and hoyas. Also, love bulbs and .... heaps of other things. I also have dabbled in crafts over the years, having recently returned to doing pottery. So have decided to focus on plant-related plant items. Pots, plaques, labels etc. Open to requests and suggestions. I have quite a severe hearing loss, so my little business is my only personal income.

And now for a few days' rest after a successful couple of days (+ the days prior, finishing them off and packing them) at Otorohanga's Artbeat.

If you are local and didn't come to see what was on offer, you missed a great weekend.

I managed to snap this video of the last bunch of gnomes. 3 bigger ones in the back. Seems the new blues and purples have been very popular.

For those who are planning to attend Artbeat this weekend in Otorohanga, remember there are also working artists who will be situated inside the courthouse.

I’ve put together this sample of what I am offering for people to ‘have a go’ at, this time.

Soft clay medallions, ready for you to press some patterns into. Once they are coloured and fired, they can then be used as per the photo. Wall hangings or pot plant charms being a couple of suggestions.

Even though there are lots of flowers showing, I think foliage plants are stunning and have long lasting beauty.

All the outdoor plants are enjoying this bit of rain we are getting. Have you also had some?

This is another one of those plants that people often get the names muddled up. It may be due to the part of the world they come from.

But us NZers and Australians call this one Elkhorn – Platycerium bifurcatum. This one produces multi-pups.

I've got quite a few bits of it growing nicely now. Is it too common now, or are people interested in adding this to their collection?

Would people prefer it already mounted to something?

ps, I don't have any other varieties; I would love to get a P.superbum, the variety that tends to grow from a single rosette.
